My 1st Thread and Post, Hi.

Hi guys,

This seemed like the best place to start. Ive lurked this forum for a while and now feel like contributing, so hello everyone.

Ive followed the MFC all my 32 years and as we all have, have had to put up with alot of mediocre teams over the years.

Having not lived in Melbourne Ive only seen maybe 70+ games live. Most memorable was the game at the western oval to get us into the finals in '87, I can still hear the crowd calling out 'hawthorn-hawthorn' in the last quarter and watching the scores go up on the score board and the roar sweep around the wing as we knew we'd get in!

Seems like we've got one last crack at it this year, Im reasonably confident.
I havent really heard alot of info on us in the media yet, which is good, hope it stays that way.

hello and welcome. you say you have supported the dees all your life. are you a member?

Yeah I'm a member. Albeit a country one.
The last five years. Skipped a year '01 due to lack of funds at the time, and had been on again off again during the nineties.

Country is still ok. I bought my son a country membership this year and he lives in cairns, so he has little chance of seeing games. Still helps the club.

Yeah i am a new big footy member as well, really like our hopes this year.
