Have had a look at the possible draftees that Carlton might look at taking in 2 weeks time. IMO, Carlton need to draft a tall key defender and a quick midfielder with good skills.

Some of you out there believe that we need a ruckman. I agree, but we need another ruckman NOW, not in 4-5 years when they will start to develop. I think we should look very closely to taking a ruckman that has been delisted from another club, e.g Porter, Knobel, etc, etc.

We pretty much know who the top 5 or 6 picks will be, so I won't be including Deledio or Franklin in this list. I believe these are the sorts of players that we should be looking at:

Midfielders:

Ryan Bain - Oakleigh Chargers
Jordan Lewis - Geelong Falcons
Andrew McQualter - Gippsland Power
Dean Polo - Gippsland Power
Justin Sherman - Tasmania

Tall Defenders:

Matthew Bate - Eastern Ranges
Sam Gooley - Sandringham Dragons
Heath Grundy - Norwood
Ruory Kirkby - Bendigo Pioneers
Thomas Murphy - Sandringham Dragons
Will Thursfield - Sandringham Dragons
