Amazon slowly ticking over but never going to cover the cost of the cover/formatting etc.

Just got to cross my fingers it gets into the right hands.
 
Had a very big day yesterday.

1000 copies of my book arrive September 13 so I started calling book stores and sending emails.

All 5 Dymocks stores in the Brisbane area will stock 'Plato Wyngard' as well as 2 awesome indie stores. My official launch will be at the Garden City Dymocks on the 17th of September.

Off to call some more, thanks for the support everyone!!!

Novel update for those interested.

Since my launch I've had 3 successful signings, 9 stores in QLD stocking my book and steady sales on Amazon. Reviews coming in are very positive we're gearing up for Brisbane Supanova in a month.

I've also be posting quite a few signed copies around Australia for $25 incl postage.

Hey J. Sorry i haven't got back to you.

The book arrived a couple of weeks ago - looking good and signed, within a few days of me sending you the money. Thanks.

I did start reading it and got right into the story but then a bunch of stuff has happened and I haven't got back to it. One of them being - I have to get new reading glasses. Am wondering what will happen tho. Like the characters. And the bad guys/girls. There's a real sense of menace about them. The glasses thing is serious. I've just started preparing for a position that requires heaps of reading/paperwork, the headaches are shit and my application for a set of Inspector Gadget Reading Arms for Short Sighted People has been rejected. I'm not gonna read it till I get them cos the stuff I have to read is annoyingly headache inducing. Easier to read your book tho - less fine print and better use of language I do have a few criticisms, nothing too serious but it'd be good to talk about them at some point soon if you want. Anyway you've got my number so feel free to send me a text or call if you want. Other wise I'll get in contact with you soon. (Probably not this weekend tho, my birthday yesterday, big party tonight, North boys down the road in Byron for the weekend by the looks of things so I'll be busy.)

For those playing at home, I was an exhibitor at Supanova - Brisbane last weekend repping my book and had a blast.

Out sold every writer in 'writer's alley' and got to meet some very interesting people.

My number 1 story would be 'Matthew Reilly'. Now first of all to set up the story it needs to be said that my younger brother Ryan was a guest at said NOVA. They flew him up from Canberra and kept him watered and fed at the Hilton for the weekend. He even had access to the NOVA greenroom and had lunch with Nathan Fillion and other big knobs (I'm just a big knob!).

Anyway Ryan told Matthew Reilly that I had just released a novel in the same genre that he is #1 in Australia for. I didn't know that when Matt (we're buds now) stopped at my table and congratulated me on my book and asked for a signed copy. His 6 flunkies were walking him to his table where people were lining up for over an hour to get a signature and told him he had 3 minutes. He replied 'We'll be fine, hey boys let's have a photo in front of your banners'

Hey guys,

For those interested in an update, I just wanted to fill you in what I've been doing re the book since November.

The sequel is currently with my editor and I'm selling pre-orders to ease the burden that is roughly $7k to self publish 1000 copies. Sales are going gangbusters (read: more than 10) so that helps.

From there we go to a South African company called Damonza who will format and develop a cover/banner/bookmark etc.

Then we print off shore and start to book in signings etc.

We will also be exhibitors at Gold Coast Supanova in late April.

Also a review on goodreads will certainly help when I go to agents/publishers.

I've also approached a co-author from the Kaboom/David Warner series so fingers crossed.

I did see that GR. I'll support him with it comes out.

We did Gold Coast Supanova last weekend and sold really well. Kellan Lutz (One of the Vampire Brothers in Twilight) grabbed a copy and even tweeted about it #PlatoWyngard to his 1million followers. That was pretty cool.

The sequel cover has been finalised today and I love it. Can't share on social media yet but what do you think?
