Ok, so it is only few days in but I have already reached a landmark moment since my journey towards becoming a mod has gripped the Bay. I may be able to just get the official title without the power as it turns out, according to a low-level mod.

Day 3
David Schwarz has hinted I might be able to get a mod badge, although without actual mod powers. I hope he's not just teasing me.

If AFL-X becomes the sensation that both you and I believe in our heart of hearts it will be, I will be more than happy to advocate to Cfhie to create an AFL-X board - of which you can be supreme leader of

I reckon Day 5 is the key. Chief would be shitting bricks. He can only hold out for so long. Pressure is building. Momentum is shifting. The masses are rallying. And heaps of other cliches too !

Just start acting like a mod anyway.

Report the shit out of everything, tag mods in to question them on the validity of threads and posts and just generally try and help out around the place.

Mods especially love long running back and forth PMs that go around in circles, so there's another good avenue to make yourself useful.

I wonder sometimes why people chose to become mods. For instance I found this chap on the mod list. Last activity 6 months ago? And a crazy total of 11 posts?

There something stinky going here. Surely an appeal to the his holiness would make him realise that this fine chap just doesn't have the time to devote to the mod duties he signed up for. You could well be the right person to jump onboard and fill this role with enthusiasm and gusto.
