I don’t know what to think.

Big first half from JHF, quiet in the second
Rachelle oh boy wow wee. Can he back it up.
Stengle trolled me, had him all preseason.
180k for Hinge overs but no-one else around
Disappointed I could‘t find a way to get 30 green dots.

This is my final RD1 team, I've gone light with the premo in the mid but I've somehow will get close to 2,400, which for I haven't done in RD1 for a long while. MPM all the way baby! :D

Sure, I'm missing a few players that I would like to include, but there's not too much to be concerned about.

Injuries: I'll need to deal with McInerney's injury, I'm not too sure who else is injured

Edit: Just cleaned up my RD1 team

Looping Hewett was an interesting call.

This is what I ended up with.

Happy that I'm not missing any of the high scoring rookies, hopefully minimal corrections are needed.

Feeling confident that skipping Gibcus is a good move, looked very raw out there and can see him being out of the team soon. Happy to spend a trade on Skinner/Sinn when they're on the bubble.

Hopefully Ridley can come good, but I don't have high hopes. Truly putrid effort on the weekend.

Made the decision yesterday to get Brodie for Rachele

Have 90k in the bank so I will get Rachele this week and dump Owens.

Going to be enjoyable watching Suns games for a change with the tag team of Miller and Rowell tearing it up

2305 all done - reasonably happy.

Disappointed with Crisp and Thomas - Owens just putrid and I expected more from Ward and Hinge.

Going to hold off on any unforced changes this week. Just shuffle things to get Hayes and Martin on field.

I finished with this (Had Hayes on the bench though). Wish I left a little bit of money in the bank for a bit more flexibility (Like bringing Rachelle in) and also might have some problems if guys like Hough and Dixon start getting dropped. Overall teams feels ok, missed quite a few of the guys that went big on the weekend (Cripps, Hewett, Rachelle). Onto week two we go!

Reasonably content although I wish I didn’t get sucked in by Treloars previous averages and backed my gut to choose someone else. F2 was problematic and I cycled about 6 different players through there. Not quite sure what I was expecting given the embarrassment of riches the Doggies have, but I won’t load him into a cannon and fire him into the sun just yet.

Defensive premos good barring Whitfield - defensive rookies thin on the ground. Glad I took the punt on Hewett.

Midfield premos good, Cripps and Rowell were jock-stretching, Daics is sublime. Berry big headache, big headache. Ward, Macdonald, Mosquito Owens and Hough aren’t overly inspiring, rooks gonna rook.

Gawn is a champ, will bounce back. Grundy solid.

Happy with how the forward premos Dunks and Butters performed, with Rachele, Durdin, Conigs, Martin and Hayes the blokes to have filling the rest of the spots.

Cannon will be on standby for Treloar next week, but I fear he may go 100 one week, 65 the next, pull a big score out of his date, rinse and repeat. Hopefully not, but it’s probable.

Looks like I’m one of the only ****ing morons to run with Treloar at f2, ffs.

Im starting a support group and all Treloar owners are available to attend free of charge.

And by free I mean a hunjy a head.

And by a hunjy a head I mean adsense has removed a portion of this post due to its gratuitous content

Obviously didn't spend much on my backline but with several backline premiums scoring poorly last round I'm glad I avoided them. I love my midfield and my forward line has great depth too. Marshall is a bit of a punt but I was comfortable taking it given English is backup. I'm looking at trading a mid rookie to defender in order to swing uwland to M11 and I may pull the trigger this round given SDK is out.

All in all, with a score of 2460 even with poor onfield rookie choices (Ward over JHF and Martin plus Hayes benched), I'm happy with my team. Hoping Baker and Richards can go 85+ and 80+ respectively

Very nice round one score though :thumbsu:

This game is all luck and I might have had mine,
looks like I'm the only silly Kent in here that hasn't got Grundy o' oh

Nice team. Brayshaw and jelly are both value at their prices and I love that you picked Blakey. He was going to be in my team up until the day before the season started when I made heaps of changes but now wish I kept him over Baker. Your team is damn well balanced too. Good luck

Can't fit everyone in! I'm prepared to chop and change my backline and jump on the good rookies and mid pricers with the hope that I save trades in the other areas. I admit it looks weaker than I'd hoped but I had to accommodate my gun midfield and that was the position that suffered accordingly. Given all the DPP defenders I have I can be a bit creative with trading there

I’m only stirring.

Oh I know, but there is truth to your post, I'm just hoping my backline doesn't give me too much grief!
Just don’t look at it.

That advice can also be applied to the scales in the bathroom, the price of V-Power fuel at a Shell servo, and my mother-in-law :thumbsu:
