Was AWESOME!!!!!!! Since I live in Western Qld, Texas Holdem is at a casino is not a viable option. I played at Party Poker with play money and learnt a lot in one hour..........got to love my new addiction!!

I remember my first time playing a long while ago - a friend of mine was showing me how to play on Yahoo! games poker of all places (pretty damn crappy, I eventually had to install PPoker). I remember calling and raising hands when I didn't even know what I had, and getting real excited when I won a hand. I don't even think I ever folded.

But, stick to it, and you'll come along way in two years, also. :thumbsu:

The only thing I have against pokeroom is that I find the action can be a little bit hard to follow at times. I mean, the names just highlight in yellow (from what I recall), and thought I usually am doing a few things at once, including playing other tables, I still like to have a fair idea of the action.

The graphics do look pretty good, however.

One thing with Party Poker is, however, that you seem to be sucked out a lot by draws on the river. I played PPoker for perhaps the first 7-8 months of my poker "career" and found that eventually I would be able to predict when I would hit my straight and flush draws - which takes a fair bit of the excitement out of it.

meh, to hell with looks we arnt playing this game to look at pretty graphics

chase the bonuses, get rake rebate set up and play wherever the money and the fish are. I couldnt give 2 hoots whether it looks ugly or not

Currently playing at Absolute Poker

man, im loving AP at the moment, finally made the money in a Freeroll, got knocked out by a fish chasing a flush when i had AA with an Ace on the flop....but still finished 18th out of 2000 - and now have a grand total of $1 in my real money account....lol.

But ive been playing some real money sit and go's - only 50c buy ins, but finished second in my first, and third in my second, so ive doubled my money to a huge $2.05 lol.

The thing I hate about PartyPoker is that a lot of the games, you can only bring in $10...and bet in cents

Huh?

I haven't played PPoker in a long while, but I'm pretty sure it caters for all limits, just as every poker room does.
