Wear your gear you'll be right.

You'd only got a verbal if you are racist or act like a drunken numbnut. Both of which I'd doubt you do!

We aren't really that bad, certainly no worse then Carlton and far better then essendon

As everyone's saying, wear your colours with pride, cheer for your team and don't act like an ars%h%le and you'll be just fine. Don't listen to Carlton supporters when it comes to Collingwood. Seriously.

It will be a cracker of a game!

So i'll be taking my first trip to melbourne on the weekend, aside from being a massive westcoast supporter, i'll be attending a game at the MCG, tour and all...my girlfriends family are Carlton supporters. I have been informed that i should avoid wearing the blue and gold.

Due to you guys.

Now, an honest evaluation of yourselves. Will there be enough shlick to fear for my safety? Or can i expect mutual respect oosing with total hate?

looking forward to the game that defines the season next week.

shlick?

You must be joking fella, grow a pair of nuts and wear your colours with pride. You'll be surprised how many other WCE fans there are over there. Went over with a couple of mates for week 1 of the finals last year, went to 3 games (hawks/cats, WCE/pies and Blues/dons) wore WCE jacket and scarf to every match and numerous pubs about town. Had a ball chatting with tons of differant supports from every club, found the Victorians much better and knowledgeable fans than most of the ones over here especially Dockers fans who spit when they talk and are barely capable of forming coherent sentences. Be prepared for banter and don't take it so seriously it's only football mate.

You've got nothing to worry about. Really, these days us pies fans aren't those mongrels that people claim us to be. We're not all intellectual people on the dole, with no teeth (Those claims are getting lamer and lamer each time they're said)

You'd find that we'll only become angry if you start us, other than that, you will be fine.

lol there are some people here playing some pretty mean ticks on the OP. Obviously thirty for some violence.

DO NOT wear your colours. Every game some poor opposition supporter is silly enough to try it, and the bloodshed that follows is sickening.

To be honest mate, unless you have elite fighting skills or a deadly weapon, it is probably safest to barricade yourself in your hotel and just listen to the game on the radio.

Whilst on the topic of safety, watch out for the drop bears and hoop snakes.

Going across for this game too with three West Coast supporting mates and an idiot that I presume doesn't actually follow footy because he supports the Dockers. Should be a blast, hopefully they're the ones sulking at the end of the game. :)

Hi guys im coming across for this game too.
I dont have tickets to the game yet because i dont wanna settle for fence seats behind the goals, I sat there last time so i would like to experience somewhere different. I know its never going to be a 'sell out' but ticketek are still only releasing the bottom level. anyone got any idea when the rest get released or is it a matter of getting tickets on the day??
cheers

Unless you want a reserved seat just buy one on the day. No way will it be close to full, so turn up early and sit where you want.
