I've tried PM'ing him, and although it appears he reads them, he doesn't answer back. When he got first kicked out and begged to come back in, I expected him to be more 'active', but alas it seems I expected too much of him

Hawks come online every once in awhile. Their certainly more active than the Kangas.

Hawks and Roos are both on strikes so if they don't post their post-trade lists they'll be booted. Might do a re-confirmation thread in a week or so. You don't have to trade and there's certainly nothing wrong with not participating in pre-trade talk

On to my team...
I went with youth last year and to trade the successful ones away now would be stupid. If I don't make any trades it doesn't bother me. The only untouchables are Barry Hall, Guy Richards, Jacob Surjan and pick 2 although players like Robert Murphy, Brent Reilly and Brett Ebert, and pick 5, would need exceptionally good offers. I have no interest in recruiting anyone born in the 70s
