A dish is near perfect except for needing a little seasoning and spice. Apparently that is a 3 point deduction. Yet a texture clash and the hazelnut 'diluting' the dish is only a 2 point deduction.

Not to mention there was actually SFA cooking in that entree and it was shop purchased goats cheese they grilled.

Seems like Josh and Austin were right about Karito and Ian. They didn't listen to the judges in particular about seasoning the food. Didn't season it properly in the Instant Restaurant rounds and didn't in the eliminatiom cookoff either.

I have to admit I half expected Karito and her husband to be eliminated tonight. I laughed when she said, "Our plan was to bring Colombian flavor to the competition and we did that," as they walked out. Shows she still didn't get the critique that her food had no flavor. Talk about delusional.

I thought Josh and his sisters problem on their home cooking night was the shitinees of their kitchen, in particular their stove was shite. So put in a kitchen with the proper equipment they did better. But I don't think they have a hope in hell of winning this competition. What are they going to make next? Buffalo wings for entree, meatloaf for main, and apple pie for desert. The food they cook is hardly of a standard to beat the best in the competition.

I liked the "meh" woman, I hope she keeps it up throughout.

Can get it everywhere in Sydney, especially Indian and Chinese groceries. My wifes Indian so we have it all the time

People bagging Ian is fair, but let's be honest Karito could not cook either, the main was a simple bean dish and she stuffed that up, just like she did at her instant restaurant, when she just cut the meat up for the Empenada and threw it in the crock pot told me she had no idea, even i knew you had to season the meat and brown it off first for flavour. She was clearly out of her depth regardless of how poor Ian was, and Mr personality desert was the high scorer for them.

And i still don't get the hype over her, she was not anything special.

The serial killers Bradbury'd last night, Pete and Manu banged on about flavours being good, from what i saw they just threw stuff in and hoped for the best, luckily for them them team they were up against were a little worse, the boys won't go far especially if they have to cook out of their comfort zone, simple dishes that anyone of us on here could most likely cook better.

Before I first came to Australia in 1975, my mum took me into the kitchen , gave me recipes and taught me how to cook. When I returned to the states in 2000 and took over the cooking at home in 2002, even she admitted that I had become a better cook, even when in her dying months I had to puree all of her food. Taco salad pureed could not have tasted that good!
