Well, that was a forgettable series start except for the Weirdo Bros. The food was rather ordinary. If MKR hopes to come even close to MAFS ratings, it better get its act together. Tomorrow seems promising.

My wife watching this with me, says i know who the home schooled campaigners remind me of is the two brothers who killed their parents in USA, the Menendez brothers, she's isn't too far off it.
Yes, they look similar! Evil looking brothers.

The younger brother with the long hair looks weird but defers to his older brother who is a campaigner. Mocking other people's accents is pretty much racist. Trust Channel 7 to find these people.

Who invited Ted Bundy to appear on MKR?

Don't they sell crocodile at Coles? I thought this was supposed to be a family cooking show.

The dessert sounds interesting.

Perhaps kosher salt should have been used for the pork belly?

Some knid of toast with what is supposed to look like an egg yolk in the middle with ice cream I think. What do you call the real thing here? I've heard it called toad/frog in a hole. We called it someting else at home but I cant find any reference to the name on Google. I think my mum made the name up.

Variant names for the dish include "bullseye eggs", "eggs in a frame", "egg in a hole", "gashouse eggs", "gasthaus eggs", "hole in one", "one-eyed Jack", "one-eyed Pete", "pirate's eye" and "popeye".[6][7] The name "Gashouse Special" is used in the 1975 book The Kids' Kitchen Takeover by Sarah Stein.[8] The name "toad in the hole" is sometimes used for this dish,[6] though more commonly refers to sausages cooked in Yorkshire pudding batter.

LOL "pirate's eye". Wrong couple.

I've heard it called a bullseye around where we lived. I wonder if it's a regional thing.

Josh and Austin are just naturally nasty. They're trolls and Austin surely looks like one.

Whomever said they have no capacity to self censor is spot on. I hesitate to generalise about home schooling but if you're not socialising with children as you mature you just don't get those social cues.

That's why, in some ways, I almost feel sorry for them, if it's their true nature. If it's all an act, well, that's another story.

I haven't had crocodile. I did have alligator when I was in Florida many years ago. I've also had rattlesnake when I went to uni in Texas. LOL
