There was no way Pete & Manu were going to score the Peruvians to lose. Veronica & Piper had no chance of winning MKR as they're dreadful cooks. The Peruvians do have a chance if they can get it together on the night. So those scores from Pete & Manu were never going to be terrible.

The finals looks like a different format this year, looking forward to that.

Josh & Austin should be next to go.

The so called beauty queens couldn't cook , so no big loss, it was either them or the serial killers in waiting to go out first.

Romel and his boy toy should win this, Romel is lucky he dragged Ibby along to this show, without him he'd be stuffed, Ibby has done most of the cooking while Romel ponces around making deserts, and the serial killers have it right Ibby is more than a restaurant owner, me thinks he spends a bit more time in the kitchen than he is prepared to admit, the food they deliver is restaurant quality not home cooking.

Below is how it should be in order based on performance so far, but one bad night will end it.

1 Ibby and Romel- Strongest cooks, but only need a poor showing from Ibby and they are gone
2 Andy & Ruby - Also good , but watching last night the cracks showed when the heat came on, Andy got bitchy and two women together in a fiery situation can only get ugly, and cockiness could be Andy's downfall.
3 Mum and Son - Mum will crack under the time pressure, and son won't have the nuts to tell her to stop sooking and start cooking.
4 Pat & Bianca - The strangest dynamic i have seen seen on the show, supposedly hates each other but can cook together, although if i was Pat i'd hang around with her as well, and are a dark horse for me, could Bradbury this when the other teams crack under the stress, these two seem to go at each all the time, so stress won't be an issue, it's how they cook.
5 Victor & Gee- Weird flavour combo's will be their downfall, and being too ambitious.
6 Matt & Luke - Not sure they can go to another level, but good simple cooking might be enough.
7 Josh & Austin- How the hell did they get this far. Dumb luck i guess that others below them had one bad night - Blake & Amanda come to mind, should have been able to out cook these nuffies, but choked hard core.

Josh and Austin, well more so Josh, are good in the MKR kitchen and therefore good at eliminations.

They seemed to have also worked the hardest at learning in the cookery classes they all do off camera.

They wont win it. But I dont think will be the first eliminated.

Ruby and Andy seem to have an issue against the clock. First time they had a real time pressure last night?

Which is another advantage Ibby has working in what Inassune are high quality restaurants/cafes.

To me, it's out of Ibby & Romel, Rudy & Andy, and Victor & G. I think these are the best cooks out of all that's left who are capable of taking it up another notch in their cooking for the finals. I think all the others have peaked already. But pressure does funny things to people so it just might come down to who can cook the best under pressure that wins.

Magnum, I’m backing Matt & Luke. From Andy & Ruby, with ibby & Romeo third.
I know nothing, just my feeling. Most cases in this show it’s not the best cooks that win.
It’s those who work well together and as a team.

I agree. I just hate the fact that Ibby could win because it's quite obvious that he knows what goes on in a kitchen regarding food preparation and presentation far more than he has let on. Anyone who owns a restaurant should be disqualified from this show. It makes a mockery of the home cooking idea. Of course seeing prima donna Romel lose would be so satisfying. :p

While I get your point re:Ibby, don't forget it's Romel who does the plating of the dishes and he has no restaurant experience. Owning a restaurant doesn't make you a chef/cook, just as owning a garage doesn't make you a mechanic, or owning a bookshop doesn't make you a writer.

Ibby : "I own restaurants so I know how to run kitchens."

Bingo. That's why he should not be allowed on this show. Professional restaurateur.

Now you sound like Josh and Austin!
You don't like a level playing field? Ibby made it sound like he really had nothing to with the kitchen except maybe approve menus. Even that is an advantage. He made himself out to be like a cashier in the front of a cheap restaurant. Dirty cheat.

Too late now, he is already part of the competition and ch7 producers approved his application.

This is the point MKR becomes increadibly boring.
I remember last year, my first year watching, I didn't bother with some of the episodes. Less is better. This drags on far too long.
