They are way too close for brother and sister, you don't have your sister as your best mate that's just weird. Brother-Brother and Sister-Sister yes most definitely.

I know everyone hated that pomegranate molasses anyway, but why weren't the brother/sister called out on using store bought?

Josh and his weak sister, err brother, pose that age old question. Why is it that 'born again' Christians are always such dicks? Not much "loving thy neighbor as yourself" going on here. They will no doubt suck in the kitchen and be eliminated early, at least I hope so.

The peruvian food blogger is annoying, but it looks like she knows her shit.

Lastly, I hate that word 'Foodie'. As if eating food somehow makes you special, well we all have to eat.

Agree, strange group and of course later on the will have a couple that have never met before. Planned so viewers can start picking teams.

I thought they made their own molasses and had the store bought as back up? (I do tune out a bit watching the show).

They tried to make their own molasses but it failed and so they used the store bought one.

So far it seems like him and Stacey are the most normal of the couples participating in this round. Possibly the other couple where the woman has the pink hair (I don't remember their names) but all the other couples seem socially inept in some way or another.

Yes, even their scoring reflected their 'normality'. Maybe they will twig later on and be more strategic. (Hopefully).

Who cares if he runs a restaurant, if he doesn't cook in it than there is no advantage. Knowing how to run a business is different to being the head chef unless you do both. Not really a big secret there just trying to draw viewers in.

Yep. The Asian ladies last season worked in their parents' restaurant, didn't they?
 
I hope the ethnic cooks don't just stick to their type of food, although there never would have been meat jelly last season. Mmmmmm...

I have been to a Brasilian restaurant in Vegas. Mucho goodo.
