He needs to tell his wife to STFU while he's cooking seafood. He knows what he's doing.
That too.

Just when I got the 'I want it plated up in 8 minutes - 8 MINUTES' out of my head, you bring it back :D

I love how she's all panicky and he just keeps calm and carries on, somewhat oblivious to her antics.

Watched the ep where the Kiwi's got eliminated and I thought it was really jarring the way Meg spoke to Simon.

She spoke at him, not to him. It reminded me of a mother scolding a child. Robyn Givens and Mike Tyson stuff.

We know who wears the pants in that relationship. :D

----
Last night's ep was pretty good.

As usual, Meg completely panicked in a crucial moment. She would not make a good chef. Andy, at least, saw the funny side and kept his cool. I thought that fish brisque (where he brings together two different stocks) looked amazing. Seriously impressed.

Feel bad for the WA girls. They and the Greeks are good honest cooks. But probably not competition level cooks and it's showing.

I hope Steve+Helen survive a little longer because now everyone's in serious competition mode and the characters are getting boring.

I think the judges were a little suprised by the juries decision to send Jennifer and Leigh to the cook off.

Dr. Peter will look like a total a..hole if he continues to speak for the jury and if I was on the jury I would let the fool speak and not annoy the rest of the contestants. He wont get his way with the final vote.

I'd prefer to see the jury voting blind - meaning they shouldn't know who cooked which dish as it seems that some jury members have axes to grind and that reflects in their scoring

Shame to see the army boys go. Came across as decent blokes and they worked well together but they probably lacked the polish that others have

The antics of Peter last night was nothing short of disgraceful. At no stage did he provide any feedback on Leigh and Jennifer's cooking, he only took pot shots. Sadly it looked like several teams (namely Peter and Gary/Thomas and Carla - surprise surprise) were voting on personality rather than the cooking. It was brilliant, however, to see Leigh and Jennifer stand up to Peter's bullying.

As many have said, the judging should be done blind so that the judging is done on the food and not on personality.

These sudden death cookoffs are bringing out the best in teams though, and unfortunately we've reached the stage where the cooking needs to be perfect - anything less and you will be gone.

They got an average score of 2, so dont think you can single out any teams for judging on personality rather than quality...

True, but Peter provided no feedback on the food, he purely made potshots at Leigh and Jennifer. Just showed how much of a crap bloke he really is.

I actually felt slightly sorry for Leigh and Jennifer. Give them their due...they can cook.

On a sidenote is Jennifer the first down syndrome contestant on a TV show?

The final four is set.

No suprises with three of the couples. Nic & Rocco, Emily & Carly, Leigh & Jennifer. Those 3 couples have all looked like they know how to cook.

Megan & Andy have made it the hard way fighting elimination after elimination. Seafood gets them through everytime.

But they are such whingers, oh we didnt deserve to be here, it isnt fair

Surely even they notice every time they dont cook seafood they end up in an elimination battle, its no coincidence

Yeah I think another young all girls team would be an obvious winner after Sammy and Bella last year. You would think the SA girls would go through in the 1st semi, and therefore they'd want a boy grouping to go against them in the final, therefore leaving Carly and Emily out.

I reckon it will be an all-SA final. Leigh and Jennifer should account for Megan and Andy, while the final between Emily and Carly and Nic and Rocco will be one of the best cookoffs in the show's history. Both are high quality cooks, and have cooked some outstanding dishes in their time on the show. This could a final where a score in the low 50's may not be enough to win if both sides cook at their best,

Megan is hopeless.

Every time there is a negative comment about their dish, it is the part of the dish that she prepares.

Last night, the first dish, they said the noddles were under cooked, which she did on her own without Andy. The second dish they criticised the mash, which she made and Andy told her it was bland and needed more crab. Exactly what the judges said.
