Andy is a nasty guy though. He is clearly a very skillful cook, but his attitude towards any of her concerns is just you do your thing, I do mine.

The other 3 remaining teams are genuine partnerships in the kitchen.

Having said that, Megan and Andy could win. Any one of these teams is capable of cooking a 10/10 dish.

I would prefer any of the others to win though. All come across as more decent people.

Thank God the jury has finished. Terrible idea that could have ruined the integrity of the final result. As it happens, I think the best 4 teams are in the final.

Disagree. He's remained relatively calm whilst she is losing her head. He knows what he's doing, particularly with seafood, it's whats got them this far. If she hasn't worked that out by now, she's an idiot.

Totally disagree.

Her claim to fame is her presentation, and she doesn't even do that well. They get slammed on their presentation. If Andy listened to her, they would have ruined a lot of their dishes.

The reason the other teams work well together is because they can both cook.

Cannot believe the girls from South Australia got a perfect score for one of the easiest things in the world to cook - the curry that they cooked last night. To me it demonstrated how lacking in quality this show is. Sure, it takes a lot of ingredients but it's a curry that practically anyone can cook including someone new to cooking. Perhaps I'd feel differently if that wasn't the exact same dish that I cooked last night and cook whenever I have the time and have invited few guests over to cook for who I don't know the tastes of.

However, having condemned them once again, I am predicting an All-South Australian final. The boys turn it on when they have to and they seemingly couldn't care less when they've understood that it's been any other time. The girls will beat Andy and Meg quite convincingly I'd imagine.

I do disagree with you MYOB in regards to them. He's a prick but she's just as much of a cow - that's my two cents on that. Each show my girlfriend who I've watched the entire series with has said "I couldn't live with him...." and that she'd divorce him but then last night we worked out exactly what their issue is. She's a stress head while he's the polar opposite, he's of the mind that it'll happen when it's supposed to. Not a good mix in the kitchen as they get on each other's nerves constantly. Though in all honesty I'd really like to see Andy cook something other than fish. We get it. He's a brilliant seafood chef. However, almost every other time that he's been responsible for something other than seafood he constantly screws it up.

Someone screws up on seafood in the semi finals, that much is clear. I would laugh if it was Andy.

He probably plays to his strengths too much, but hey, it's worked so far, but everyone does to an extent, the boys predominantly Italian, the SA girls Thai and the Vic girls Chinese/Asian. The Tassie couple do appear more of a one trick pony though.

I am not saying Andy can't cook. He is clearly brilliant (with seafood), but it is a team contest and as much as she panics, it is often with reason. Her presentation has been criticised but she is constantly asking for more than 1 mintue to complete it.

No doubt, there is a double edged sword involved as he correctly states that seafood should be cooked at the last minute, but she also needs time to plate up.

Basically, as a team, they need to understand each other's strengths like the other teams do.

He talks to her with a complete lack of respect.

They are kind of bogans.

Had to laugh at Andy's "just quenelle it" with 30 seconds left. They are a terrible team.

It would be awesome if Andy wins this thing though. Yes, Andy and his seafood cooking. Meg is nothing special. I could be Meg. What does Meg bring to the table?

Fish magician.

You'd have to think that tonight is for the title with last night being akin to a St Kilda v Western Bulldogs prelim. Real shame one of the pairs tonight won't be in the final.

Had to lol at the brunette judge: "Oh I think I swallowed one (gravel) too". Like she didn't feel it worthwhile mentioning until someone else brought it up.

On that, does anyone else find it weird how the "gravel in my food" thing played out?

I found the lack of negative criticism surprising. I suppose it's okay to leave stones in your meal so long as the technique is complicated and the flavours are there? I would be incensed if that happened to me. Free meal or walkout situation. And I don't think I'ld be alone.

Only 1 judge got it, the other thought she might of and Guy Grossi absolutely loved it. So, if anything you could possibly give the main round to Megan and Andy, but it looked liked the girls won the entree and they smashed the dessert, so all in all I'm not sure you can really fault the judges decison.

Said a week and a half ago that it would be an all SA or SA/Vic final and that is the way it is going to pan out. Easily the 3 most competent teams. I disagree that Leigh and Jen are weaker than than Rocco/Nic or Carly/Emily. I think they could easily win it.

:(

Good episode last night. I thought it was all over for the girls after the main course, but they smashed the dessert. I just thought their dishes were more interesting. This is what I like about Masterchef - contestants have to be able to cook everything well, they can't just cook seafood every week.

No complaints that Team Princess got through. I just thought it was downplayed significantly. That's like a very basic thing they missed and the two female judges still gave them 8's and 9's... very questionable imo.

I agree with you in the second paragraph. Princess is the most well rounded of the cooks and knows all the little techniques that others don't try. I'm tipping Team Princess to beat the boys in the final.
