Just got sick of all the Pie haters bringing up the draw as an excuse for our good form, can't they see the way we are playing on the ground? Here is my reply to Brat the Rat in the comments section in case it doesn't get published. I realize this is a completely self congratulatory thread but it might be useful in formulating an argument if you find yourself in one, feel free to copy the stats if you see someone else banging on about the draw.

What a joke, talking about inconveniencing the poor old Magpies!!! WTF, they are about to play their 11th game in a row at their Home ground the MCG in the Grand Final, never in history has this been done before seeing the Pies reaping the biggest rewards ever along with the AFL, but they then must get benefited for being INCONVENIENCED, maybe you could pay all the other clubs who are inconvenienced playing away games all the time while the good old spoonfed Magpies walk 50 metres over the road to their home game every week, WHAT A JOKE, the funny thing here is no one can see what is happening with the AFL, the AFL aren't just building the Pies up to be a superpower for no reason, $$$$$$ Victorians watch your clubs disappear over the next 25 years as the AFL plans it's mega expansion, I know which club they have planned to ensure will have a future though, one more year with a draw like this years and goodbye AFL for me, how could the Pies lose the Grand Final when it is not just being given to them but shoved down their throat, they will have wasted the biggest gimme ever if they lose this week!!!​

"Brat from the of Rat" what are you talking about? every Melbourne based team played 11 home games except for NM who played 10. Of these teams StK travelled 6 times, Carl & Rich travelled interstate 5 times (Rich didn't travel after round 15), Coll, Roos, D's and Dogs all travelled 4 times, ess & hawks travelled 3 times. No clear advantage there. Of the 9 Melbourne based teams Coll and Ess each played the teams in the previous years top 8 12 times, including each of the top four twice (the only teams to do this). dogs, rich, d's, carl & hawks 11 times, 10 to St Kilda and 9 to the Kangas. Where is the Mapgies big convenience there? What else can the AFL do when all the poor clubs want to play the maggies at the MCG for their home games and make $$$. Mate, if you are that blind that you can't look at the draw objectively then you should say bye bye AFL now and go over to Rugby. You will see just as clearly with your head up someone else's arse.

You've blocked one of the vent holes for their hate, so you'll force people like this to find another vent hole somewhere.

Don't get your hopes up of it getting published. I have written at least 15 comments and not even once have they ever published them. There must be a rule that it should all be anti-Collingwood.

Yep. They will happily publish the most poorly formed vitriolic rants against Collingwood, yet will never publish an articulate and compelling response.
