MY Mid season list management

Hayden Ballantyne

Ballantyne will stay. When he is at his best he inspires those around him.

Zac Dawson

Dawson has a year left on his contract and is still our best defender against larger opponents.Does a lot of team things and could be used as a backup ruckman

Harley Bennell

I can only hope whatever his calf issues are that he plays a full season next year At his best he will be a star.

Garrick Ibbotson

I would keep Ibbo as he has 1 year left on his contract and rarely has 2 bad seasons in a row.

Danyle Pearce

A very under rated player and will stay next year. I hope he can improve his decision making but is far from the worst mid fielder in our squad

Nat Fyfe

No comment needed….Hope can play him more as a forward

Nick Suban

Not always worthy of a best 22 spot but seems preferred to DeBoer and Mzungu

Matt de Boer

delisted I doubt any club would trade for him

Michael Walters

Will never trade. Captain material

Tommy Sheridan

I would try to trade Sheridan for a second rounder

Jonathon Griffin

Our only decent backup ruckman

Tendai Mzungu

Delist

Lachie Weller

A must keep for our future

Ethan Hughes

Will be a handy player

David Mundy

Keep obviously but not to be captain

Hayden Crozier

A month ago I would have traded but not any more

Darcy Tucker

Obviously a future player

Connor Blakely

What a wonderful surprise he has been

Matt Taberner

Will be a major player in our future forward setup

Michael Barlow

I would keep him but only if he is to play in middle

If not trade for second rounder or fringe key position player

Chris Mayne

Hopefully trade for a second round player or Kerstin

Harley Balic

Hopefully his wrist is ok

Alex Pearce

The future key backman

Ed Langdon

Hearing he wants to leave .ok for a second rounder/early third rounder

Lachie Neale

Yay he is staying

Brady Grey

Not sure he has what it takes delist

Matthew Pavlich

I want him to play one more.He is still our best forward by miles

Zac Clarke

Delist free agent

Aaron Sandilands

Keeper

Stephen Hill
I would trade him but I know it won't happen

Cameron Sutcliffe

He should be a handy fringe player

Lee Spurr

Leadership material

Michael Apeness

Too early to know what he is capable of

Alex Silvagni

Delist

Michael Johnson

One more year

Jack Hannath

Delist

Sam Collins

A great find

Shane Yarran

Has one year to show something

Clancee Pearce

I would keep him for depth

Anthony Morabito

Tanner Smith

Upgrade to main list

Josh Deluca

Delist

Matthew Uebergang

Keep him on rookie list

Ryan Nyhuis

Keep on rookie list

Sean Hurley

Pav would be paying the largest odds to play again.
I'm not sure Johnson can play one more year. Back related hamstrings aren't exactly easy to get over. In a sad way I think we'd be negligent in giving him another year, even if he wanted it.

The rest of the write up is solid. Some opinions would sway either way, but fairly in line with mine.

Fair assessments.

After watching Fyfe in the coaches box and in the rooms on Friday night, in his Clark Kent guise he is now really showing the leadership skills. I thought that at half time, it showed vision of Fyfe imploring Clarke what to do .................. obviously fell on deaf ears.

So next season, I can easily see Nat taking over as captain. We will look back and see this season as a great study year for Nat.

I can see at least 4 delistings of players on the senior list.

Ballas & Walters need to concentrate on their forward work.

I don't see any real benefit to trading Sheridan. He's still only 22 and has played some reasonable footy at times.
I'm keen to keep Barlow. Great club man and a great influence for the developing guys.

Otherwise, I pretty much agree.

Nothing beats Malaxos' work a few years ago - Player X was good, his goal kicking was good but his marking was not good. Overall pretty good/10.

Agree with most of the assessments. Tabs isn't quite a dead certainty for future success though and you were way too kind to Pearce D.
