Bought a Yamaha R1 last week and tidied it up and looking pretty A1 with more work to do. Have the genuine stickers on the way to replace the white 26's and fix some cracks etc.

It wasn't until after I bought it and took this picture that I realized its also awesome Royal blue and white.....must be something in that and why I loved it when I saw it!!!....haha

Nice one. Looks like your daughter has her eye on it too so best you sleep with one eye open.

Haha....yep.

Spot on mate, Livinia reckons 'very cool" which is great and a worry at the same time!!!

Done a full service and detail, new R1 stickers on and the rest removed, she's running sweet for a 16yo bike!!

Really happy how she's come up. I only payed 2.75K, Redbook is 4+, not sure whether to keep or sell!!

I can ride but this thing will kill me very fast, I've already nearly dropped it twice....haha. Had two neighbors over today (i'm on holidays with Livinia) to ask "what the noise" was about, and loved it when showed.....haha.

Your thoughts Twinkletoes and King Corey?

A for awesome!

On a slightly related note. .... does anyone have any of their stickers they get with their membership left? I've got a boring white helmet for my scooter up here and thought I'd plant some NMFC on it!

Bike looks great. Not being a bike person I'd flip it myself and take the extra moula, which I'd put towards my daughter or another car related toy V2J, but that's just me.

As for the stickers, the kids have stuck the lot all over everything they could get their hands on Hazey.

Yes its come up well thanks and also yes I might head that way - might keep her for a while and see how I go. Have nearly bought a second car as a 'toy' but always talk myself out of it at last second....ha

Thanks mate.

No stickers left here either! Think you can get them from the Rooshop though

I'm contemplating whipping up some graphics on Photoshop customised to the guard sizes etc.... I guess that is an advantage of no copyright laws in a country?

Just to break up the doom and gloom Twinkletoes King Corey, with the end of North as Boomer is gone etc etc, took some pics of the bike how it is now (sorry it's a tad dark, she's come up real sweet in person though).

I've decided to keep it TT, think as the last Carb R1 with arguably the best shape could become a collector - regardless of I ride it etc. I know it probably looks old, but I've spent heaps of hours getting it right and she keeps me interested on lonely nights!!! (bit sad I know...haha)

Mate do your customized stickers, unless selling them for profit what you do privately will be fine!

Worst case you get caught with them and asked to take off :thumbsu:

Ha.....I have no idea what that means :thumbsu:

I had the software updated yesterday also so now everything sound and vision related is fully digital. Makes a huge difference for radio listening.

Even better is the fact I have my car done across the road from Arden St so I got to watch the players coming and going from their exit interviews.

Yeah well that's great to hear - might have been a tad frustrating as we talked about ages ago, but worse things can happen!

That's an ideal spot, the car dealer close to there (or is that where you went?) has some nice machinery!! (hence your Stang trade etc)

PS: Twinkletoes

Car looks awesome, very envious - any thought of coil-overs or similar to squeeze up the guard gap to tires? It's probably purely cosmetic and reduce the ride, especially if it handles as you want it to (likely looking at reviews!). Ignore or berate me via PM if necessary...haha

The dealer you mentioned is the one who sold my old Stang for me, Theodossi, who are actually clients of mine. Theo Jnr wanted me to take him for a spin in the new one after it arrived, which I duly did. He's a great contact. The dealer who services the Stang is the one I bought it off though, right next door to Theodossi in Arden St, Bayford. We actually set the whole place up for them and Nick Theodossi is their landlord. Bayford are old oldest clients.

Plenty of mods in mind, mostly cosmetic and mostly springs, rims, brakes, blower, cold air intake etc related, but I'm finding it so hard to justify the expense with the kids future costs in mind. One day perhaps!

Twinkletoes have you got around to any of those upgrades yet?

Saw a mustang convertible and thought of you hence reminded me. Bloody hell they look good, also saw a new Porsche last week and just so meh in comparison.

I've only new mirrors to go on my bike and work is done. With full service, plugs etc I've paid 3.5K all up. It's insured for 6K but with so much hard work not sure I would even accept that!!......ha
