My attempt

1: Melbourne: Watts

Melbourne Need a Key forward, this young man was the Best forward in the under 18's comp, Victorian... need we say more?

2: WC: Rich

West Coast have mind set on Rich... open shut case!

3: Freo: Yarran

Fremantle need legspeed, an old and aging midfield, I expect them to take a punt on Yarran here, Will this be Fremantles first Coupe since Pavlich or Palmer or be another Chris Groom story?

4: Port: Natanui

With the Fujian Vibe and Choco's tendancies for "developing" players I expect Port to take Big Nic

5: Essendon: Hurley

To Take up A key Defensive post being Vaicated by Micheal and Fletcher over the next year or so!

6: Carlton: Vickery

Need another ruckman... next best Ruckman in the pool...

7: Brisbane: Ziebell

Black, Power, Johnstone on way out another Midfielder to help fill the void if Richsetelli and Polkinghorne dont quite step up!

8: Richmond: Hartlet

Always a slider, Hartlet in '09... good midfield building for the Tiges, Delidio, Cotchin and now Hartlet...

9: North: Johnstone

To lead Norths attack for many years along side Tarrent!

10: Adelaide: Trengove

To help fill the hole left by Basset!

11: Collingwood: Zaharkis

Burns, O'Bree on the out, Swan lacking leg speed... Zaharkis may be just what the doc orderd

12: Sydney: Cornelius

Aging forward line, Grundy not looking to come on as a forward... Cornelius next best available for need!

13: St Kilda: Lisle

King and Gardiner aging, StKlida Draft a KP prospect so McEvoy and Kossie can ruck and Lisle can help fille void left up forward!

14: Bulldogs: Cordy

Father son, could help solve Dogs Ruckman woe's

15: Hawthorn: DeBoer

Next best available!

16: Geelong: Heyne

Outside Mid to put some pressure on Kelly, Varcoe etc. competiton breeds success!

If the Eagles take Rich (midfielder) with their first pick I would rather see them take Walters (small forward) with their second than another midfielder (Pierce).

Why do Carlton need Vickery?

I'd guess that's only likely if they don't get Warnock....getting both would make no sense unless they were planning to make Kreuzer their CHF or something...

Why do Carlton need Vickery?

Didn't you know? We lack a quality ruck at the minute and if a team has a vacancy within their senior team they should draft and draft players in that position until its filled no matter who they have on their list already.

No Sidebottom, won't get past Kangaroos,Pies & Saints.

Tigerbob willing to do the 3rd and 4th rounds as well lol.

Not as yet.

Maybe soon though. It gets a tad harder but I reckon I can get through the next couple of rounds.

I have my own internal system of grading the players from 1-60.

Then I have them in categories, ie. Small Midfielders, Tall Forwards etc.

In saying that, when doing mocks and looking at team needs aswell as previous drafting efforts, it gets very hard.

If the Eagles take Rich (midfielder) with their first pick I would rather see them take Walters (small forward) with their second than another midfielder (Pierce).

Agreed, the midfield would all ready consist of Ebert, Masten, Rich, Kerr (who are all quality high end picks) Priddis, Nikoski, Rosa, A.Selwood, Fletcher, McNamara as the rotation crew and Lynch and Staker as the big bodies. Plus a few more that could be thrown in there.

Forward line has allot of marking players but the only one capable of crumming efficently is Lecras. Wirra is a year out from retirement and it would be good to have some back up there at least.

If Kerr does get a trade then I can see at least another mid drafted with the high end pick we get from kerr. But I would be dissapointed if we did not use 18 or 20 on a crumming forward.

Yarran is a small forward and i dont think freo will take him with pick 3, it will be either naita, hartlett or rich (depending on availability) also fremantles 'old and aging midfield, not so much the midfield next eyar as it stands will be palmer, ibbotson, schammer, haselby - only haselby is past 25.

Exceptional effort. Great to see someone post a phantom that's actually seen some of the young kids play.

What fantastic input
He's right though - We have Cloke, Rocca, Rusling, Reid, Dawes, Anthony, Didak, Medhurst, Thomas, Macaffer, McCarthy and others all capable of playing a KPF/HFF role.

It's not going to be much of a priority, considering that we already have a logjam of forwards.

If the Eagles take Rich (midfielder) with their first pick I would rather see them take Walters (small forward) with their second than another midfielder (Pierce).

The problem being Walters may not be available.

Plus I don't think Walters is only a small forward, he has the potential to develop further up the ground.

Not many people have Schoenmakers going first 2 rounds. I'm inclined to think he may, despite being 2-4cms short of ideal height, sneak a gig in the top 35.
