My Problem This Weekend.

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

This is probably right actually. If I check the scores, and we're getting pumped it will change my mood. If it's a close game it will change my mood.

But if we're pumping them  She's in for the night of her life.

lol your not watching a game from a few years ago when we got smashed every game. Will be a fantastic game! have you seen the movie 6th day with arnie in it? or face off with john trevolta? there your answer

No offense but Richmond fans say exactly the same thing prior to their Rd 1 game against Carlton every single year.

You got beaten by a kick and a bit against West Coast with a full list to choose from.

Essendon beat West Coast by 60 and will have that line up even strengthened with the return of Hurley (possibly Essendon's best player) this weekend.

Not quite sure why there is so much optimism.

Get yourself a body double and send him to the birthday while you enjoy a Richmond loss.

My girlfriend's 21st birthday, 3 year anniversary combined dinner date.

I've set out dinner at a 100p/h restaurant, got the gold class tickets and it's on Saturday night.

Oh my.

Essendon Vs. Richmond is on Saturday night.

I'm still going through with the day because I love her, but how do I get through the night without checking the scores, or being spoilt by crowds in the city?

My plan is to IQ the match and watch it when I get home like it was live. I will struggle with this because the AFL Live footy app is likea disease, I check it every moment of every game when I'm out.

It's exactly like that episode of How I met Your Mother with the superbowl.

Do you think I can get through the night without the result spoiled? I'll let you know how I go :(

Leave your phone at home if your that desperate to not know the scores.

I'm calling bandwagon flog. If you were a diehard you'd have all of your social engagements organised around either the whole season or the big fixtured games.

FFS 'man', it's been 3 years, you should have been better prepared. Suck it up, I hope someone gives away the score as soon as you walk out of the restaurant to teach you for being unorganised.

Not to take away from Essendon's good form, but the Eagles team that Richmond played against was A LOT different to the Eagles team that Essendon played against. I think they'll get much closer to you guys than we did.

If she really loves you she will let you either go to the game or have your special diner date at a pub with Foxtell.

You need to blow her off and go to the footy.

If the relationship is going to go the distance, she has to accept mediocrity and for you to be a constant disappointment to her, there is no point selling a false image of what it is going to be like.

She has no grounds to stand on expecting you to change if you are an inconsiderate slob who ditches her for the footy, and that is exactly what you will become once the sex gets old. :p

You want to find someone who will accept you for who you are, don't sell yourself off as being someone who gives a shit about romantic dinner dates or anniversaries.

In the long run she will either accept you for being an actual man or eventually when the romance wears off when you find her dull and boring then she is going to be rooting the first guy that pays her any attention. :p

Go to the footy, tigers are on fire, you have probably waited your entire life for this moment.

So many lame idiots in this thread. It is a regular season fixture, just because the AFL marketing department decided to make it AN EPIC BATTLE by giving it AN EPIC NAME does not mean it is more important that taking the woman you love out for a great night to celebrate her 21st and your anniversary.

It is worth 4 points, that is all

Get some perspective

Kids these days

Exactly. :thumbsu:

Are you with Telstra? You can watch the game live on your phone...

Watch the last quarter on your phone (if the game is still close) im sure she wont mind you watching for 25 minutes.

If you met her when she was 18, chances are it's not going to go the distance anyway. Save yourself the heartache. Dump her now because she will change as a person and will reorganise her priorities anyway and will most likely dump you within 5 years. Most men are too stupid to notice the danger signs. Go to the game.
Seriously, just enjoy the night and check the damn scores when you take a piss. If Richmond losing bothers you enough to affect your mood on your partner's important day, then you haven't been following Richmond for very long.
It's her night. Not yours.
