2 weeks ago you were singing his praises after beating Melbourne...face it we don't have the midfield pace to go with some teams, we don't have the aggression to go with others, we don't play well in the wet..

So as long as the opposition midfield is soft, slow, and it's a fine day we'll be okay? I feel much better now.

A lot of people have tried to be positive but Yesterdays loss was the worst since 2001 when you consider where we are at, where we want to be, the result a fortnight ago and the calibre of the opposition.

I stayed til the end, and my patience is running out.

Would love to have a coach with some balls right now. Someone to give the club a public pasting just so I can feel better.

That was your 1000th post ... Well done.

BTW you resigned CC for another 2/3 years at the start of the year, so your stuck with him I'm afraid.

Queastion is who do we get to replace him?
Do we get another unproven assitant coach or go for a proven coach who's out of the system e.g Ayres or Blight

There are some assistants with some good reputations around like O'Donnoll, Sumich, T.Daniher who might be worth a look, maybe even Broadbridge from within.
But with all likelyhood Connolly will get to the end of the year and we'll still be stuck with the inconsistant easily shutdown gameplan.

Follow the Richmond example, go for Frawley, let him slowly destroy your club over five years and then hire a proven coach like Blight, get a few top draft picks, pick up a couple of good recruits, and realise you have a couple of champions on your list that the coach never rated (ie Tuck) and you'll be back in business! Patience is the key though. ;)

A Kennedy,Jeans or McHale would do the trick. Then again, what I wouldn't give to have Neesham back with the list we have now. For those that were around in the beginning, you'll remember how exciting football can be. Look at the list he had and yet we saw the something special, if only we could have got our few key players on the park.
You sound like Al Bundy/ Homer Simpson talking about his high school football days. Just like their memories the reality of Neesham's years aren't that good.

We could get Neesham back and he'd trade Pav, Hase and the Carrs for half of the Claremont reserves side. Sounds stupid? Its about what he did when he initially was coach.

well well well here was one of my posts a while back..... how things have changed . more and more people are starting to turn, we will all feel this way by seasons end . everyone.

if or in my case when things go bad with this season and everyone is calling for CC's head like i have been, who will take the reigns next year? Now i know some of you will say don't start in such a negative way but i dislike CC 's coaching methods and have been very dissatisfied with our results. i have said that atleast from halfway through last season that he was not the coach for fremante. IF you were to make a choice for a new coach based on who is available or who might be an up and coming coach who would you select?

OPTION 1 throw bucketloads of money at PAGAN (only coach at this stage who hasnt't extended his contract and is out of contract at seasons end)
OPTION 2 its a tie between G.Hocking and P.Sumich for mine.

NOW FLAME AWAY!!!!

Tosser, you hired leather face not Blight

so was that CC who played on Everitt or was he on Crawford or Mitchell or Hodge or perhaps even Williams, didnt read these posts when you beat Melb or won 3 in a row. any chance of blaming the players peanuts?

I was one who critised you pre season Tico, but I'm with you now.

Fancy starting your number one ruckman in the forward pocket and starting your number two ruckman against the best ruckmen in the comp. AND then leaving it this way all quarter even though your No 1 ruckman is starved of opportunities down forward and your young No 2 ruckman is getting towelled up by the champion ruckman he's up against!

The guy has no idea!

I'm tipping you hardly went to a game before 1999. One of those tools who loved to sit back and bag your new team, just because they didn't recruit the Lowes and Kernnahans (not through lack of trying mind you) but instead had to settle for WAFL players and a few home coming boys, simply because the AFL & WAFC tied our hands from the start !

Funny a name like Dale Kickett never gets a mention from you tossers though ;)

The 18,000 members who went to the games back then came away more thrilled than any other supporters in the history of the game. Sure we lost more than we won, mainly due to our top players being injured for long terms but the Fremantle spirit was there. They never gave up and they also fronted and mingled with the fans after the game.

Tico, as you may have read my posts, I too have always said that this is not the coach to take Freo anywhere and first raised it on Dockerland in 2002/2003. I got totally thrashed for having this view and today I still have this view stronger than ever.

We all know that he will never get us a GF and the best way forward is get rid of him now and get another coach.

Simply - what are the alternatives, another five years to find out what we know now or do something about it.

But then again, the board thinks "the sun shines from his " and will keep him there and the poor supporters have to put up with it.

Yep, they were interesting times back then. Never though I would be sitting here in 2005 considering the Neesham era the highlight of my freo supporting career. No, he didn't get to the finals, but what he got out of that list was unbelievable.

Wonder if Gerard is still available

1. Pray to God Carlton have a sh*te season so they don't offer Pagan a new contract, or offer him a reduced money contract
2. Offer Pagan $2m for 3 years.
3. Win flag. ;)

I think #2 is out of the question as I'm pretty sure #1 is already done and dusted with plenty of moolah for Mr Pagan....

Hopefully #3 happens while I still have all my own teeth and only a scarce smattering of grey hairs throughout my thick locks...

Other than two board members, the other 7 are WAFC plants. The bean counters at the WAFC will be getting concerned if the Dockers have another wasted year. Membership won't stay bouyant if there is no hint of success.

Its business and the WAFC needs the dockers to pay their own way. They are commited to paying at least $1.5M in dividends to its owner!!

Also we have no Major sponsor - Bankwest and allphones have departed exit
$2.9M They are unhappy chappies.

"It won't be personal when he gets the heav ho it will be business"

The bean counters will get him, Cam and Rick!!

Their lack of commitment has everything to do with Connolly.

I would have thought that I have made my thoughts on the Coach patently clear on many occasions, enough in fact for even you to understand not to mention getting me banned for a week. Isn't it interesting that a lot of those who saw fit to criticize me, including the moderator, are now of the same opinion however, I have agreed to refrain from further critcism of him.
Another comment I have consistently made is that there is a ready made replacement on the coaching staff namely Broadbridge who I am confident would get the best out of the list and would not tolerate the soft ******** crap that went on against Richmond or Hawthorn.

Putting a ;) after apparently calling me a tosser is still disrespectful so firstly you can go get stuffed.

Secondly... Neesham made us an oddity. A side show. Gee, look at the purple wearing team do that wacky stuff! Last time I checked I thought it was about winning a premiership. We were never going to win a premiership (or even respect!!) like that. Its continued on from there.

Neesham was a self serving bastard. Look at the "great" trade for Chris Bond and Adrian Fletcher. Short term gain to save his own neck (and you know it Dutchey). How do Luke Power and Brad Ottens go these days? How'd Tony Delaney go? I hear Scott Lucas goes ok.

Only reason I'm bringing up the past is because some people are still living in it.

That was a good trade.

For pick 2 (Ottens) we got Bond + pick 5 (Fletcher + pick 26 (holland)) + pick 21 (Clem Micheal)

No way we could have got both Ottens and Power

That is probably the best description of Neesham (self first self last and self always) that I have read and don't forget his direction to the Recruiting Manager to rookie list his useless nephew who had as much hope of playing AFL Football as my dog. East Fremantly still laugh about it to this day.

Are yes the word "premiership". AS i have said on another thread the Docker Faithful have eternal hope in their Purple hearts and they give the people running the FFC a fair go.

Now picture this, here are supporters crying out for success even just aliittle. So you have A couple of hombres east of the rabbit proof fence
come in and talk of plans, journeys but more importantly using the word "premiership" They continually use the quote " many people dream of a premiership a few really plan for it". this being cleverly fed to a success starved supporter base - its all pure seduction.
They also continually promote the myth that the Freo list is a Premiership
winning list- It is along way from that.

However you can only use smoke and mirrors for so long

Explain to me what you expected from a new team full of skinny WAFL players for the first 4 years ? I dare say we were the most successfull club in the history of the VFL/AFL from the start, excluding the state sides (Wet Toast & the Cows)

Change hands !!
