Explain to me what you expected from a new team full of skinny WAFL players for the first 4 years ? I dare say we were the most successfull club in the history of the VFL/AFL from the start,excluding the state sides (Wet Toast & the Cows)

How about commenting on the Fletcher and Bond deals? Drum was a shocking coach and Neesham was a better game day coach but when the heat was on Drum kept the draft picks and played the kids.

I'd take getting smashed in the first few years and then long term success over short term success to smooth over deficiencies and stifled team development after that.
Yay! Lets cheer for Neesham for doing so well with what he had. The question is why did we have what we had? Neesham didn't want his own rep damaged with a few years of getting smashed playing kids so he made us look good early but robbed us of any real chance of development medium to long term.
