Bruce: Welcome to Talking Tigers ... err, Talking Footy. Good evening Robert Walls.
Robert: Good evening Bruce. You're overrated.
B: Thanks Robert, and Caroline Wilson from the Age joins us again. How's things Caro?
Caroline: Good Bruce, can I say first off that Richmond are just the best, spunkiest team in the league, and Richo is a babe. I love you Richo!
B: Thanks Caro. Joining us on the couch this week is Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy. Welcome Kev.
KS: Thanks Bruce.
R: You're overrated.
C: Good evening Kevin. You used to play for Richmond, didn't you?
KS: Yes, I did a long time ago, Caroline, but I'm here tonight to talk about Ess...
C: Richmond are great, aren't they? What do you think of Richo? He's a babe, isn't he? And Matty Rogers, pfwoar!
B: Kevin, a bad loss on Thursday, a game you must have thought you would win after hearing about the withdrawals of Craig Bradley, Anthony Koutoufides and Stephen Silvagni before the game.
KS: It was disappointing Bruce, but I think there were some Martians involved, and we'll do our best to bounce back this week.
R: The martians are overrated. Kev, why do you hate me? I'm the most underrated coach in the history of the game.
KS: Maybe it's because you use your position as a commentator to even up all the scores from your playing and coaching days.
C: You coached Richmond, didn't you Robert? - they're ace, I reckon, and Nick Daffy is a spunk. Kevin, getting back to the weekend's game, the Tigers were fantastic weren't they?
B: Just before that, I'd like to replay some of Clinton Casey's comments before the game on Saturday ...
The Western Bulldogs are responsible for third world poverty, the greenhouse effect and Human Nature. I personally blame the Bulldogs for the condition of the Colonial Stadium surface, the falling Australian dollar and my high electricity bills. David Smorgon is the anti-Christ, Terry Wallace is Vlad the Impaler re-incarnated, and the sooner Tony Liberatore is executed by lethal injection, the better I'll like it.
C: Very fair, measured comments from the Richmond president. He's a spunk too.
R: He's underrated, Clinton, no question.
(and so on and so on until I switch over to Channel 10)
Tim Webster: In AFL news, North Melbaroos captain Warren Carberry has been charged by the AFL judiciary for charging Sydney Reds half back forward Jeremy Saddingtown, Carlton Magpies captain Nathan Buckle has resigned again for the club, and Fremantle Eagles coach David Dunne has been sacked after his squadron's loss to the Hawthorn Demons on Sunday.
