Makybe Diva,
Thread starter #1
Flemington to start and its a nice day of competative racing filled with up and coming champions and set to be up and coming Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond chances.

Race1: Hayes starts his 2year old campaign with 2 Poromsing gallopers by the names of TOWER CAT and ZIZOU. They are untapped at trialls and they look like they might have stardum hanging over there heads because as we know hayes only races his champions and great 2 year olds in this race nothing less that superstars. Last year I Got Chills and Nadeem. Will hayes do another shifty with Oliver i dunno we'll have to see.

Race2:Theres a few potnetial talents in this raace but they havent done much or they might just havent had the best of preps. I think Ulhaf will be Ultra hard to beat in a race full of speed and Ulfah can take a sit go back or even hunt for the front. Williams will sort him out and will hopefully be in the money at the end.

Race3: Love this race. Competative, Natural raw speed from Due Sasso and Our Maharaja, if exites is right and gets back to his old 2 year old form theres no betting but i think the first up run form Enemy Of Average was Enormous and will take benfit from the run. I think he's a superstar in the making and can go along way this spring.

Race5: Hard moderate race of 3rd graders. Only 2 horses will be going places form this race and there Speilmeister and Cat's Fun. Coming off a run in the Feehan stakes Speilmeister can turn the tables and loves the Flemingont track s i think he should win to live up to what Hayes thinks of him.

Race6: NO BETTING !!! Miss Finland cant lose. Its a case of Put in and take out.

Race7: Williams by now will be having a field day and will make another won or defenatly place with Dance Hero. Has had one race up the traight and came 4th to Glamour Puss in the salinger and should be hard to beat. Only dangers are Bel Danoro and Fast an Famous.

Race8: Hard Hard race. If Lad of the manor rocks up in the form he was in last sring its just a matter of how far. For a bit of value maybe Apache Cat or Zipping but not shore this race good competative race.

Race9: Queen of the Hill. I was on last start when she won and i think she will win again. Will place and should win. Each way is the best bet but should be winning.

Race10: Hard Get out stakes for Turnball day but the top 5 should get the trifecta not sure what order though.

Happy punting and i hope u find ureself a winner.
and remeber: The More U Bet The Bigger The Return

I am amazed that the 'Punting Board' of all boards is the one where you will find the most people acting like 5 year olds.... Its unreal

Anyway just looking at the last four races at Flemington:

Race 7 - I like Shadoways and Stratton Place at the odds. Bel Danoro and Fast'n'Famous have obvious claims. Shadoways is 5 wins from 9 starts and is capable over distance, Nash Rawiller aboard. Stratton Place, I couldnt believe the starting price when I first looked, 12 placings from 14 starts over distance. 6 placings from 8 first-up. Its worst results have come from slower tracks but is 6-2-2 from 14 starts when the track is rated good.

Race 8 - Sphenophyta is too short from what i've seen, seems to be a result of the hype machine. Could definately win it but Zipping and Apache Cat have greater claims on the race at longer odds. Zipping 4 from 4 over the distance and Apache Cat always runs an honest race with Callow aboard.

Race 9 - Queen of the Hill was solid but I dont think it raced against great company last start. Prefer Speedy Rossa in this race from 15 starts on dead or worse has 3 wins and a third. On a good track four starts for 2 wins and 2 seconds. 3 wins and a 2nd from seven starts over track-distance. WA horse Belle Bizarre also looks like a good show.

Race 10 - Royal Ida is the class of this field and should be a lot shorter 10 starts on a good track for 8 wins and a second. Yet only 2 wins from 9 starts on anything slower. Chiack prefers it softer. Accardo and Threedee is the only real danger to Royal Ida in my eyes.

I'm no expert and I accept no liability for these comments... haha. I'm just a form reader as I find it is the most reliable thing in these type of races... there are some good bets at long odds this week. The Turnbull is one race where I dont think the Lad and Sph are clear favourites.

Hang on, I take that back - I've been into my local and I've seen a few of the people who hang at the TAB.

Nice and quick...
Should be a good day for Freedy and Hayes by my reckoning just in time for Spring

R1 - 2 Choisism or 6 Tower Cat, 5,7,8 into the tri's.

R2 - 4 Gorky Park, 1,3,5,14 into the tri's.

R3 - 7 Enemy of Average

R4 - 4 Tommifrancs (suprised was so well supported in betting)

R5 - Tough one 3 Spielmeister and 5 Cat's Fun creates intrigues each way/place

R6 - 1 Miss Finland cant lose can she? Been watching 8 Sefrah for a while, 3,4,11 into tri's.

R7 - 3 Undue by a whisker, 1,6,10 well placed, 2 and 8 for value if they turn up 100%, I could mention more...great race

R8 - 3 Lad of the Manor, from 6 Stormhill, 12 Zipping, 10 Apache Cat and 9 Headturner.

R9 - 9 Storm Alert, good race for tris again 2,4,11,14 appeal

R10 - 2 Chiack the pride of Bendigo or 4 Volitant in a boilover. (Williams on board) 16,8,7,10 into the tris.

Have a great day

Yes I picked it but at the end of the day got nothing out of it. Only had my quadie and didnt get the 3rd legs... only because I cut down my horses to save some $$! arrrh, haha. I couldnt really pick a winner in that 3rd leg, none were that good. Other than the winner in hindsight, haha.

Zipping come home strong the task was to big from the wide barrier I guess. Speedy Rossa wasnt the value I thought it was in the end, shortened up big time.

There was a big plunge for Shadoways, was worthy.

Ventured out to Flemington Saturday, couldnt get in as I forgot to take any money!

Got there for Race 4, did no good, same with race 5,6,7,8.

Had my biggest bet for the day on Race 9 on Divine Madonna at 12's with the bookies, just had a hunch.
Didn't even see her til about 100m to go, last to first, what a run. Turned my day into a very productive one.
Last Race had the about First Six if you ignore the small fact of Royal Ida finishing first ;)

Nearly spewed up when I saw More than Lucky won the last race in Sydney at $50, would have had a small amount on it. (If you have a look back at my last Saturday tips Ive been following it)

Great day though, great turnout, now bring on the real Carnival!

PS Steve Baster is a legend, have spoken to him at my local before where he joked about putting a horse I backed into the fence once. Saturday after a Group 1 third placing, he was letting the kids pat Aqua Damore on the fence before going back in to scale. The horse loved it too!

PPS Fast n Famous looks the real deal, and Zippings run was magnificent as a CC Trial. Headturner is on track for the Melb cup also.

Outstanding run Divine Madonna, nothing better when you back a winner that gets home like that.

A mate backed More Than Lucky. Sounds silly but he was a little stiff took some little all ups & doubles into it but just couldn't connect.

Wonder if he saw the same trial win as I did in Sydney? Thats the only reason I thought it'd be worth following.

I liked Mearas' run after it got severely checked (Derby?) and My Only Hope looks a good Oaks chance at 17-1.

divine madonna looked a good bet, i had a small wager on her after i noticed the speed would be on up front.
great to see local and great supporter of western district racing mick oleary winning the last with royal ida. great story because he is by star pyramul which is a poor stallion and is out of a mare that dad used to watch years ago...the mum has been a great producer and i feel stories like this are better then listening to dj talk crap....
bay story was a good run after he found his 2nd wind in the straight, might want further then 2 mile's, good chance for the grand annaul in a few years...jk
