i have heard that he is a great player in the VFL competition, but i do not know too much about him?

what type of player is he, and who does he play like in the AFL ranks.

im guessing this topic has been spoken about before, but what are richmonds chances of picking up someone like him

He is a inside midfielder with great hand and skill by foot. His downside is that he is quite slow and skinny especially given his age 21/22 IIRC.

Given he is an inside player and lacks pace I cant see us picking him up as we have a lot inside mids already.

That being said I'm sure he'll get picked up by another club given his supreme form in the VFL over 2 years.

so, considering the draft over the next 2 years is GC and GWS favourded, you dont think we could use him as a "replacement" for shane tuck? he is what 29 this year, and id assume in about 5 years when cotch and co are ripping up the comp and shane tuck is obviously not around, you dont think sewell could slot into that inside role?

i think hardwick has made it clear we are in need of an outside midfielder.

i dont know its a tough one.

Tuck Snr. played till he was 72, Tucks are like wine, they get better with age. So I'd say Tucky will improve more and he will roam around our list for another 23 years.

Lol I would take him just to have on our list as a backup. COnsidering Barlow sucess would be worth it and all clubs would be thinking the same...

I think this sort of thinking, if unchecked, could present a problem amcre. With Barlow and the J Pod making the transition, all clubs will be going through VFL lists with a fine toothed comb for the rest of this year.

Problem is, by definition, most of these are VFL players...

Not saying Sewell is not a player but they all aren't going to be Barlow. Although I am a bit more comfortable that our club is doing its homework these days.
