lol a practice match and you guys are acting like sooky little girls.
we will be 5-0 or maybe 4-1
Good luck with that.
I only see us beating St Kilda in the first 4 rounds.
But I'm hoping you're right :)

I am offended that you call me sooky little girl.
At least get my gender correct.
Sooky little boy I can live with.

Going on what I have seen so far I will be happy with 3-2. Over the moon actually.

My Only Hope we can turn this around is that the Players are so Ashamed of the Shit they put up tonight that they come out next week and train the house down and reality get ready for RD 1
and Then come out Breathing Fire.

I can only Hope

I don't understand why Cloke is getting hate. He's the one who should be giving the hate! We can't kick to him even if it's a 2 on 1 let alone a 1 on 1! He's always got atleast 3 opponents on him because of our poor forward line structure and our slow movement. Not only do we kick to him when he's in a 3 on 1 contest we can't even deliver a half decent ball to Cloke on the lead because our skills are that bad. So what is Cloke suppose to do? I feel sorry for him, he should've taken the big money Freo offered him, atleast he'd be given the ball without having to compete in a 3 on 1 and could actually get a decent kick to mark on the lead.

When you're paid $800,000, you should be taking a leadership role and telling players where to be and how to kick it to him. He's simply overpaid.

The problem I see is we have a team who are bad decision makers and have bad skills. When they do decide to hit a pass its either too late or not the right option. Where are our crumbers? Cloke goes up in a marking contest against 3,4 blokes so I'd assume we'd have blokes like Fasolo, Blair, Elliot at the feet to get the crumbs or lock it in? Nope nowhere to be seen! It's not just the foot skills that are a worry its the disposal by hand also which is a worry. So many times a handball is directed at a team mates feet. Nathan Brown cannot kick.... Frost cannot kick, Sinclair cannot kick (and looks like he has been given the all clear to take our kicks ins), Langdon cannot kick. How hard is it to kick out in front of a team mate to run onto? Not kick it to where the player is giving his defender a free ride to jump and punch it away.

Back onto Sinclair kicking in..... At one stage in the 2nd, Bulldogs had kicked a behind and Nathan Brown was retrieving the ball.... Sinclair was in the back pocket moving into the goal square and said to Nathan Brown do you wanna take it? Nathan Brown threw the ball to Sinclair to take it..... Now if you have been instructed to take the kick ins (which it seems Sinclair has been), no offence but even if it was Pendles who had the pill you should be saying f*ck off mate I take the kicks ins..... Own the role and be confident you can hit targets..... I think the skills also comes down to not having confidence!

How do you know he isn't doing that... He can tell them all he wants about where to kick it, but he can't kick it for them. He must be so frustrated at the constant shit delivery to him he receives

If Eddie ever was to have his body taken over by anybody else, and decided to move on Buckley, who else is available that we KNOW can do a better job?
I'm not talking about poaching anyone, because if we did, only Clarkson would do. So who is not currently senior coach of a team, that we could install as our next senior coach?

My vote goes to Bomber Thompson.

PS, that was a real SH!T performance on Saturday night, and clearly Bucks was not happy about it.
So even though it was a practice match, it did mean something to our players, and coaching staff.
The Bulldogs smashed us. The Bulldogs...

It was a practice match people. The idea is not to perform at 100% but to get the players to round 1 as fit as possible. We have no idea how much of a training load the players have been put through and what part of the taper they are in. I would be very surprised if we look that lethargic come round 1.

The Bears won the NAB cup just 2 years ago going undefeated and smashing the Hawks on the way. Do you think the Hawks board went into meltdown the way we have?

To all the people whinging about Bucks and how we have no game plan, were you saying the same thing at round 11 last year, before the injuries took their toll, when we were top 4 at 8-3 having played 8 of the other 9 top 10 teams from the year before?

Many were, yes!

The way in which we were scrapping wins was concerning, there is little fluidity in our ball movement. Everything is fought tooth and nail too achieve.

For me the jury is still out on Buckley's coaching ability. Despite concerns (esp after loss to dogs) I'm hopeful that scrapping wins might just be our best way to win until better ball users like Shazza, Maynard, Oxley, Broomhead, Fasolo & Seedsman (not saying there aren't others, just the first ones that came to mind) are fit and have sufficient experience to consistently perform in the best 22. If it's the best way to win for now then they would be being coached well, provided that there's also a plan for something different to transition to when the time is right.

Yes the wekend game was only NAB 3. But Cloke walked back to the square and let his opponent stand 15 meters in front of him. It seemed he had no intention of getting on his bike & leading at the ball carrier. In fact it seemed leading inside our forward 50 was against the rules on Saturday. There was no choice but to kick long when every forward was counting on someone else to do the running.

After all these reports of training the house down, we looked lethargic against the Scum and we looked, slow, small and soft against the dogs - its only pre-season but it is damned worrying.

Forward line needs something, PK, Gault, Broomy or Goey worth a try - not f#$ing White and Varcoe. Also, needs to be players that will gut run the other way when we don't have the ball, been smashed in this area last two games. Our small and medium forwards run up and down on the spot on the breakaway.

Midfield seems bereft in the absence of the killers B's, (Ball & Beams). Pendles is cruising and Swan is hopefully building but is a worry. Desperately need Adams and at least one other to step up. S

We look slow, love Steele but he is treacle slow, Crispy offers some pace, need some genuine pace and skill on the wings. Who else, Seedy, Goody, PK? Should give Marley a crack as the tagger.

Backline is very light on for experience and poise; Brown, Reid or Keefe very much needed, Tooves looks a fair way off his best. Too much being left to youngsters in Frost Langdon and Ramsay.

Crisp, Oxley, Gault, Ramsay, de Goey have all been youngsters that have impressed in the NAB, I hope we reward them for their good form and let others earn their place.

Being at the game the other night and being quite close to play I could actually see he is one of the most vocal players on the field, he was often trying to get organisation Into our forward line and trying to play to our set structure. I understand that people are frustrated but you can only play with what you're given with and sadly Cloke is given with nothing...absolutely no support in the forward line.

I am filthy that every time I swipe my iPad in the vent thread I get the Feckin Tinkerbell cartoon pop up and I don't know how to turn it off, everyone in the Disney advertising dept should be sacked!

Loved this tweet

4 bulldog players spoiling Cloke. Why the hell would we be kicking it to him with those odds?

Because they are trained and told to

We need Trav to become like Billy Brownless and be the decoy.
Only problem is we don't have an Ablett type to play full forward:cry:

It's not about Round 1. It's the persistent problems we have as a team. If we win rd 1, it doesn't mean Bucks is a super coach that we sign up for the next decade. To me, results are meaningless. It's all about HOW we play. If we don't improve in how we play, then I hope we get rid of Buckley ASAP.
Sacking bucks will prove nothing thats a stkilda/richmond knee jerk reaction . He will be there 4 at least 2 years no matter what happens, he is a smart cookie and im sure doing whatever he needs 2 do unrelentingly to make us a better team , as magpie people we are impatient and want to belt every team every week it just doesn't happen, bucks is building for sustained success the plans are in place we just can't execute them yet . Look at bomber at geelong what was it 7 years before they showed anything their success now is credit 2 to his plans back then . Get behind the man and the club I reckon "side by side like magpies" ooooooorrrrraaaaaa
