Good:
  • Defensive talls. Obviously Sydney had no talls, but Phil Davis in particular was excellent.
  • JC. Is this the second coming?
  • Ability to run out games continues to improve.
Bad:
  • Composure and decision making, whilst it is improving, still has a way to go.
Ugly:
  • WHE's injury... Hope it's not as bad as it looked.

Just got back from the game. We seemed to be getting a bit cute with hand pass passages, coming undone with one link too many on countless occassions. Disposal into the fwd line from Palmer and Scully especially was often deplorable.

On a positive side, decent crowd (7k), LOTS of people wearing merch, and the membership tents looked to have a decent amount of patronage whenever I walked past.

That about sums it up. Cleaner disposal by foot is the statistic target these young players need meet.
Overall, a sold display to stick in it till the end.

Disposal was the killer for me... Whether it was missing targets w forward entries or w kicks on the wing it hurt us. Key offenders were scully and Palmer who were elementary

I don't ever want to knock out blokes. But can we seriously have 3 great runners, but poor kicks in Scully, Greene and Palmer in the same team, week in, week out?

I reckon they will get a tap on the shoulder as an area to address during this weeks breakdown of the film.... Green was good i thought but it was a noticeable issue with the others

methinks griffen can win the brownlow. was the only one to beat crowley when he beat everyone else 2 years ago, unbeliverble talent. we can finish from 8th-12th depending on teams like carlton, richmond, essendrun, best coast, gold coast (if ablett injured then they wont make 8) etc.

The issue w griffen and a brownlow is there are other blokes in the team that can take votes off him... And lots of them

Where as someone like pendles will get the votes every week

Nothing yet, he was having scans on Monday and there was supposed to have been a general injury update yesterday...

In Nathan Wilson's Q&A today he said "he's in good spirits, hopefully we'll know more soon". I'm probably reading too much into it but it sounds ominous.

Ward > Sunshine for Brownlow & Coleman...50000/1.

Agree with it all. We are still just booting it to opposition players with no pressure.. Frustrating.
