How's your preseason been going Paul?

Anything worthy to report about?

"I have this strange ginger-haired man following me around all the time....."

"Keeps saying something about me being a 'Fantasy Lock' or something....."

I didn't watch the game last night, but found this bit interesting. Not a bad effort by the Blues considering they used half the number of rotation that the Hawks did.

----
But Bolton told reporters in Launceston he got what he wanted from the game as he prepares his side for the new interchange cap of 90 rotations in the home and away season.

"What our members should know is we had 78 rotations and I think the Hawks had 134 or 135, something around that," he said.

"That was deliberate. We wanted to really push our players today, make them endure.

"We hung them out a bit, we left them out there and didn’t rotate regularly.

"It's just we're into a really strong conditioning block at the moment and we wanted to make sure this game was part of that.

"We know the rotations are limited this year so we think it will pay us back at some point."

As a Blues supporter I reckon you would have found the developments both in style of game, the pressure we put around the opposition ball carrier, ball movement with purpose, disposals that hit their targets and genuine second and third efforts as very encouraging. We also looked to have implemented a more zone oriented defensive setup ala Hawthorn which really restricted their scoring opportunities early on. We looked spent after half time and Bolton's explanation is the reason why. I also liked the role Gibbs was given with stints as a pure inside ball winning midfielder, I think he can be very effective in that role.

What role did Daisy play? I think I read defensive re-bounder, along with Simpson & Docherty is this right?

Daisy played off a wing predominantly Krujan

I heard deGoey starred as well. Can he pull a Cripps in his 2nd season and go 96+?
He was really impressive. Played pretty much entirely out of the centre square. I thought he, Taylor Adams and Steele Sidebottom were the dominant mids. Pendlebury was in cruise control and probably only going half rat power. What he did do was just typical Pendlebury though.

Can DeGoey go 96+? I'm not sure. I won't be going there because of his starting price. There'll be so many guys playing through the middle to share it around that it might be tough. I do expect he'll have some pretty decent scoring games inbetween some not so. Crisp and Treloar didn't play so there's another couple that'll be added to the mix soon.

The one I suspect will end up with leather poisoning is Taylor Adams. He reads the fall of the ball very well. Might be a Dreamteamer though. Of the cheapies/kids who did well, Macaffer was good. Tom Phillips did ok as did Josh Smith

That's why Dockers are such short favs. Makes sense.

We are missing Cotchin, Rance, Martin, Lids, Maric, Edwards, Miles, Grimes, Houli, Riewoldt. Hence the odds as you said.

Ill be keeping my eye on Broad, Rioli, Markov, C Ellis for supercoach

Yeah. I honestly hadn't looked at line ups, but figured that was the case when seen head 2 head odds last night.

Wonder if Ellis will have people scrambling to free up ammo.
