Disappointed Leonardis hasnt got a run since NAB1, he's exactly what we need down back

Am happy that Hewett, Newman and Papley are in the squad

Given how shallow Port's depth is in the ruck department I think it was entirely necessary to expose a guy like Doogie as much as possible during the preseason. However I think it is more likely to be for his development than it is owing to them considering playing 2 ruckman. Should Lobbe go down this year, they are stuffed. Fast-tracking a guy like Howard makes some sense for insurance purposes.
Given the amount of options they have for supporting Lobbe in their best 22 (Trengove, Westhoff, Dixon), and Lobbe's preference for rucking solo, I think it's far more likely he goes it alone.

Richards played the first two NAB games but it looks like he hasn't been named this week, I actually wouldn't mind hanging onto him, for depth more than anything.
