It was in response to those saying he's a lock based on today's game. He is an option, definitely not a lock. I like Shaw, Boyd, Simpson, Birchall, Bartel, KK.

Laird looked to be playing strictly back pocket today, had a few touches up the ground but they were all off the back of stoppages still playing as a defender, did we all just assume he would get midfielder minutes with the loss of Danger and not think that he was so good in that role last season that they will just keep him there? 5 kicks and 16 handballs, not really what everyone was hoping as the 'premium defender'

Hard to guage anything too much based on these half paced run around matches. So far I've really only liked what I've seen from Mills, Milera and Gore. NAB 3 is where some real questions will be answered imo. Having said that, keen to see the likes of Keays, Jansen, Ah Chee etc in the next game.

Im loving Lairds 95% disp eff, im not so happy about the 1:3 K:H ratio

I'm actually happy he scored that well even though it was a one sided thumping. Basically played down back mostly, and the ball wasn't there much, And still picked up 22 possies.

Im Locking in Eddie! I don't think hell be able to sustain his current average though, he may drop back to a mid 150 average when he starts playing AFL teams.
