Last year Bevo started rotating mids in the F50 so one of our high forward spots was a midfielder - even inside/defensive mid types like Picken & Wallis were expected to play attacking roles. Can I ask why fellas? Isn't it a bit stacked down there, especially with Suckling coming in?
Boyd, Murphy, Wood, Suckling and Johannisen, they can't all average 90+, especially with guys like Macrae, Libba, Bont and Dahlhaus racking up points.
I love my POD back men so please explain, Im intrigued![]()
This year the pre-season watchers note that we rotate heavily through one of the HB spots with a mid spending time there - Stevens played quite a few minuets there last night.
JJ has rotated through the middle before and last night Murphy was unsighted after halftime, and M.Boyd didn't play.
I'm expecting him to play more midfield minutes but he is a risk because he seems to be under instruction to play the high risk/high reward role which sometimes will score well and sometime not.
