I'm not quite sure people understand the severity of this warning based on the follow up smart ass comments. The next time I have to come in to a thread and delete four pages of posts objectifying women and making sleezy comments comparing body parts of female umpires, I'm just going to hand out one week bans.
The golden rule is that if it wouldn't be appropriate to say in your workplace, then it's not appropriate here.
GOAUS!
I'm sorry but so much of that is just plain wrong.

I think your expectations are set a bit low. If a mid-pricer doesn't make enough money to be stepping stone and doesn't average enough to be a keeper, that's a failed pick. You need him to gain 150k or average 105+, really. Actually, he would have to average around 105 to make 150k anyway. If he can't average at least 100, you've got a player who isn't averaging enough to keep on the bench without dpp, and who hasn't made enough money for a straight swap to anyone (you'd probably need another 50-100k for a mid premium). There is nothing incorrect in my post and the rest of your opinion doesn't make my post wrong either.
I haven't posted what my expectations are for Libba actually, as another poster remarked I was putting forward almost a worst case scenario.I think your expectations are set a bit low. Expectations of a successful mid-pricer, not libba himself.I haven't posted what my expectations are for Libba actually, as another poster remarked I was putting forward almost a worst case scenario.
I think he easily get back to 95 average and no worse than a 50/50 to be back to 105 average.
I didn't phrase that very well. Basically, it's keeper or bust.If he has averaged 105+ why would you trade him out? at best he'd be one of the last players traded out and by then we are dealing with General Soreness and his mates as players are rested before finals or sent for early surgery if a team can no longer make finals (history says it happens every year without fail)
Very few trades are straight swaps, most involve two trades - downgrade a rookie to a new rookie and upgrade a rookie or a mid pricer to a premo (well mine do anyway)
Agree with this.If you're picking Libba to eventually trade him out for somebody else, I reckon you are looking at it wrong.
A mid-pricer pick, IMO, is one who you intend to keep all season long as you think they are able to get to premium status - whether that be ave or total pts scored.
Whether they be a breakout contender, or a fallen premium (for whatever reason).
Well unless Libba grew a foot, put on 6kg+6kg, started wearing purple and grew a man bun then that shit ain't happening.Agree with this.
Just on Libba, I can't wait for my $360k player to give me some 140+ scores where he has 20 contested possessions and 10 tackles![]()
He's out for me. I don't see him scoring enough to be a keeper and he will clog up M8 for a lot of people I think. I can't think of any player who came back from an ACL and scored near his best. I'll have him in 2017.

Please stop talking up your own Geelong team players. It's tiring.Daniel Menzel 4 ACL's scored 119
But then next week scored like 20... but shhhh!

Are you serious man? Was joking around with Menzel which was obvious...
Only Cats players I have talked up is J.Selwood (haven't for a while now though with his injury) & Cockatoo. That's it.
Get over yourself.
Just be unbias for one day, try it.Are you serious man? Was joking around with Menzel which was obvious...

It's all good, just really annoying when I can predict what you are going to say in every post about your own teams players.
#getonthecock
All good mate, I don't really think Anderson would be worth the risk IMO.You mustn't read many of my posts then (which is fine aha) as I talk up lots of players from lots of clubs. In terms of North (your club) I really rate Anderson & think he'll get better cementing himself in your Best 22 throughout the year (can't fit him in team though have gone with De Goey over him in terms of scoring), also Taylor Garner now he's hopefully over his injuries.
Also it's not like my team is chock full of Cats players as I only have Danger & Cockatoo that's it :/
And yes have talked up Cockatoo a lot but only in SC threads when people have actually asked about him or are talking about him, I don't randomly say #GetOnTheCock out of nowhere.
Sorry about the outburst just before![]()

I think Wells looks ready to have a good run at it, and much more worth the risk.
Outside of that, the only other NM player I would take is Goldy, which I have.
I might look to take McCarthy from Geelong if he gets a good run at it this pre-season, well worth the risk as is a gun when fit.
Yeah maybe not this year we'll see. If he finishes this year off strongly & is still DPP in 2017 could be an interesting prospect!
I don't have the balls to pick Wells though do agree if he plays he will score quite well 70-80+ I'd say.
Don't have him but think a good POD pick from North could be Zieball. If he improved his consistency all of a sudden he is pushing the elite players category.
Hmm yeah I'm waiting to see if McCarthy can back that up in Nab2 & Nab3 without any injury concern. If so then will most likely get him at F6 & swap Kerridge into midfield![]()
I suspect that will reduce his average. Might have to trade him out!I dont know how this might effect his scoring

SKIPPER Tom Rockliff will return to his origins as a forward this season under a Lions plan to bolster the club’s inexperienced attack.
Brisbane want to play in their attacking half and made increasing their forward half pressure and finding alternative avenues to goal a feature of their summer planning.

With all the teams employing some sort of press and full ground defence, he will still gather plenty of possessions.I suspect that will reduce his average. Might have to trade him out!
