It definitely does change the dynamic. My team is going to be radically different come round one just due to necessity. Such a pity, I was pretty happy with my premo structure.

While we're all bragging I've finished 67th, 164th and was top 10 last year coming into the byes before I decided instead of playing it safe and finishing top 200 I'd make some big trade risks in a massive risk/huge reward type situation to potentially win the thing. Ended up finishing around 1,200 from memory.

So 67th, 164th and ~1,200 (top 10 at bye stage) in the last 4 years.

There's a 4K ranking in there from 2 years ago too

At the risk of over-analysing this to death, I think it is interesting to note who he scored well against last year;

v. teams who were between the worst (GC) team for giving away SC points, and the 8th worst (Coll) he av'd 121.7 in 7 games, 5 of which he went 114+. (4 x 121+)
But, v. teams 10th (Dogs) to 18th (Hawks...ie, best at preventing SC scores) he av'd just 86.8 in 6 games, 5 of which were 106 or less. Hardly premium stuff.

So again, those first 9 games of this year in SC terms (from last year obviously); Melb 4th, Gee 9th, Syd 17th, Port 13th, St. K. 6th, Hawks 18th, Freo 15th, GC 1st, Dogs 10th...potentially only 3 'easy' games.
