I don't want to get carried away with Petrie's pre-season form but would just love to see the BF reaction to Petrie kicking 60 goals at the age of 33.
Yeah I remember that one. Played full back on Salmon who was killing the comp at the time. '84 was probably our worst year since '72, but it looked like we were gunna knock over one of the years top dogs until Bill gave away a very dubious free for Salmon's only goal for the day to win the game for *.
It's 'The Boomer Effect'. I reckon Drew's learning a lot about continually improving and getting the best out of his body from the Little Champ. I think Waite is as well. He's looking sharper than I can remember seeing him at this time of year. That Dish(hah) off against Collingwood where he basically just stood there and treated two defenders like they were annoying pups was great. Looks confident and content. Hoping for a swansong year from him.
Must be forced into retirement.I don't want to get carried away with Petrie's pre-season form but would just love to see the BF reaction to Petrie kicking 60 goals at the age of 33.
Do you remember this crackerjack game at the 'G in '85? You'll note that the ol' coaches box with Kennedy in there… well, he coached North that day. But sheesh.. the snapshot footage (4:45) would be just as convincing as it was 1975!!
And Louie the Lip making this call "Oh… haven't seen a better game than this for a long time at the MCG" after Phil Krakouer recovers the telegraphic long handball by Matty Larkin but it's the way Phil gathers and ever so silky slithers back square of the goals "dodging around fourteen Hawthorn players", AND takes a bounce and BANG!! Only quoting Peter Landy Taking the piss out of his belovered Hawks. Peter Landy also makes a reference to American football with five to go on the clock.
Keep watching in the closing minute.. how Hodgeman doesn't get a free for interference.. perhaps makes up for the Johnny Law coat hanger on Dermie (5:25) that wasn't paid earlier in this sequence.
and wait for the classic Lou Richards sound bite catch cry "Oh Golly, what a game" …. before Rodney Eade deliberate as it gets… knocks the ball over out of the reach of the mercurial Phil Krakouer.

So, the phoney war in the 'Battle of the Map'. We need a name for the Tassie derby.
Planning his 19th birthday party.Where is Turner at?
Im wondering the same thing. Anyone know? What's the go with tickets tonight?
Is it just walk up with membership and sit wherever or walk up and keep walking up to level 3?
Oh are you thinking they might have level 3 blocked off like they do for the vfl granny?Im wondering the same thing. Anyone know?

I hope Anderson has a huge game tonight, I want him and dumont in the round one side
Went last night (yes Gasometer I went and saw two other teams play) and it was walk-up for most of level one. Not sure if you had to pay extra for level 2. Level 3 was closed. What's the go with tickets tonight?
