I'd say there would be about 35 - 40 000 there, Basically given what has happened the last 2 years (Us coming last, Geelong flopping) most people believe the NAB cup is dead rubber
I still feel that theory about the NAB cup being a poisoned chalice is incorrect. I think that the past two years have been abberations. In 05, we were still riding high with our rejects and essentially they helped carry us to the win. By the time the regular season started the opposition had worked out how to play a lot of these guys and they showed their true level of ability. (I feel we got lucky with Scotland and Stevens, but of the rest, if they are still at the Blues, they are not getting a regular senior game.)
In 06, I am not quite sure what happened to Geelong. I think they had the talent to make the finals it all just went awry. Look out for them this year.
I think this year if we win it, it will be largely on the back of up and coming kids and it can be nothing but a positive for their confidence.
