If Fed is in a decline and is still winning 2 slams a year I'm sure he doesn't give a shit.

The quality of players have been very poor over Federers reign, he can't beat Nadal and Nadal has every chance to over take him.

exactly..other than an ailing agassi and injured rafa, no one was there to challenge him.Nole and Muzza lmao give me a break. They are mental short people who cant win shit.Competing with guys like hewitt, roddick, safin, davydenko et all got him majority grand slams whichis surely not like competing with fearless serve and volleyers on faster surfaces. Now we see Del Potro who is well capable of beating him and he is injured even now.So if he doesnt have to face a fit rafa and del-po he might be a few more.

The funny thing is, the reason there's a small minority of mongs (i.e. you two) that call the players Federer has beaten poor is because they simply haven't won enough in their careers. What would these guys have done without Federer around? Won a shitload. Roddick would have as many slams as Nadal right now. Would they be badmouthed then? Not a ****ing chance. Can you see how laughable that is?

Then consider that if you're calling Federer a mediocre player because he hasn't beaten quality, what does that make Nadal? He can't be much higher than mediocre himself using the same idiotic logic.

Nadal has underachieved in his career, thanks to his injury.Federer wouldnt have won as many titles if rafa was fully fit.Whats ridiculous is you guys see the quantity not the quality.2003-2007 was majorly a mug era, where rafa was making a transition from clay to the other surfaces while the rest....well the less spoken about them the better.

Roddick would have had as many slams as Nadal? ROFL...The fact that he has failed to beat Federer everytime proves he is inferior to roger and if Roger is the GOAT that makes rafas win even more valuable cause he has beaten the GOAT on his best surface and rafas worst surface, however fed was unable to do that in 3 attempts.

So you must make a choice here, either fed is a GOAT which means he cant even beat his nearest rival in as many as 21 attempts (dont come back with doug flach and andre agassi crap) and rafa is 3-3 with him on hardcourts and 1-2 on grass and well....clay is a different story.Rafas record is much more impressive. Its just that rafa is injury prone which gives fed the leeway to win GS.

You are also forgetting the fact that nadal is only 24 and will be 29 soon...thats 5 years, so lets not compare quantity yet.Fed will not win a slam again by beating delpo (full fit ofcourse) and nadal (fully fit too).

Pleased to see him regain the French Open crown, like others... i too have been wondering if/when his body will break down. I remember when he debuted.... many commentators likened him to a Lleyton Hewitt... interestingly the comparisons have continued (by some) over the years. I've often wondered with the comparison, if or when Nadal will drop off the radar (due to injury slowing him down).

Gustavo is the greatest clay court player off all time, he beat legends of the game week in week out. Many respected tennis commentators have labelled his forehand the best of all time. He also played with insucntiltits which is a serious condition for average people let alone professional athletes.

Surely you are kidding? losing 6 matches in 6 years....i challenge you find another person who can equal that on clay?? guga was awesome, however...better than nadal is a bit of a stretch.

Federer will get it back by the end of the year.

If you say so :D Rafa did not play from bascially Wimbledon to the US Open so he will accmulate points for not playing in 2009. So he will strectch hes lead over Federer :thumbsu: in 2010. So by the Aussie Open 2011 he will be number 1 by about about 1000 points or even more!! As I will say Go Rafa, Go Rafa and Go Rafa :D

I doubt Nadal or Fed worry too much about 1st or 2nd as long as they keep winning slams.

there u are...hurting there arent ya :D:p Federer has 4200 points to defend till the end of the august, compared to rafas 1,000, even if he wins ,wimbledon, cinci and US open...and rafa makes it through to the semis at wimbledon and semis at US open, its good enough to keep the number 1.Federer has to win a lot of masters series events after the US open and hope nadal loses lol i wouldnt hold my breath if i were u

kuerten was a gun but nadal is probably a top 2 clay courter in history at minimum

nadal has lost one match in his life at rolland garros

I would love to have seen Kuerten v Nadal at there peaks on Clay. It would be an interesting match. I would still go for Rafa in this match :D

LOL I started the Kuerten call as a troll hence the fake disease and best forehand of all time. Seems there is some merit to my call so.. win :thumbsu:

Yeah, being a fan of Federer has been tough over the years...

As for the number 1 ranking, who really cares? I'd prefer he go into slam hunt mode and pick up a few more of those shiny trophies above :)

over the years? bet you joined the bandwagon a few years ago ;) but anyway thats the story of almost every federer fan. However its nice to see you comeback with the same old drivel.Surely quantity is there, lucky that he has been, facing mugs like Nole , muzza, safin, roddick et all...while rafa owned him on his favourite surface. :) did you enjoy the F.O btw? i am sure deep in your mind you know roger will never win a slam again by beating a fit rafa :)
