Designs

Home kit • Away/clash kit • City kit • Retro kit

Home kit: To be worn during all home games (except themed rounds). May also be used as an Away kit.

Away kit (optional): To be worn during all away games (except themed rounds) unless Home kit is nominated to be used for away games as well.

Clash kit: Will be used for away games (except themed rounds) where your nominated jumper is deemed to clash with your opposition's home jumper. Must sufficiently contrast to your team's Home kit.

City kit: Design a guernsey that celebrates something about your team's location, whether it's a certain aesthetic, music scene, local beverage, celebrity, landmark etc.

Retro kit: Similar to the NAFL Heritage Round of the past, the NAFL Retro Round incorporates not only throwback guernseys, but encourages fauxbacks and taking in various design elements of various eras.

The design rules are as follows:
(thanks to E92_ and Freight Train)
  • Your overall design must include the front and back of the guernsey, as well as the shorts and socks
  • All jumpers must have a sponsor logo on the back and front of the jumper (same placement as AFL), you're allowed to have your teams logo on the jumper as well
  • Shorts also need a sponsor logo (same placement as AFL)
  • Sponsors need to be an AUS/NZ brand or an international brand with a presence in either of the two countries
  • Jumpers/shorts need an apparel logo under the collar or above the league logo and on the shorts, and it can be a fictional apparel company
  • The NAFLR logo will be in the same position as the AFL logo on the jumper and shorts.
  • Retro logo required on Retro jumper only
  • All logos can be recoloured, it is highly recommend designing your own logo from scratch - you'll be a better designer in the long run
  • Finally, teams will submit an All-in-one presentation, which features all guernsey designs that the team has worn through the 2019-20 season.

I’m bringing back the Eagles, but surely the two can co-exist given we both go two different directions with the name in colours.
I'm just going to check that one. It hasn't happened before that I'm aware of and NAFL has traditionally required a unique identity across both the main and reserves comps.
