Looking forward to seeing both teams, plus hopefully Adelong, in the main league.
Hell of a grand final match up though, both quality designs.
Sadly (and yes I am being serious as I really like the team) it won't be both teams in their current form as Auckland will be unable to compete due to the 2 NZ team rule and both the Makos and Tigers filling those 2 spots.
Nah I think it's neat.It may not be the right time atm, but I think the discussion needs to be had about relaxing the rules surrounding max number of teams in each state/territory/NZ. IMO its a bit harsh on anyone who has done the hard yards in the reserves and built up their team and identity to have to start again upon promotion to the seniors.
Hopefully after this season is done and the dust settles this can be discussed.
Nah I think it's neat.
It means we'll wind up with an Adelaide Aces or Joondaloop Jets or something. Gives you a chance to continue your brand but gives you a whole heap of more material.

Tbh not sure why Hobart was promoted and Longreach, Auckland and Adelong weren't.
Ready for the backlash
Hobart was some weird paradox where a clear top 4 top division team didn't even make finals so
I think Adelong were way better tbh as were Longreach. But Perth were the right choice.
As if. On paper perhaps it looks weird but ADT owned that colour scheme. Perfectly proportioned.Design wise they were one of the best.
Colours let them down- indigo/navy, yellow and green aren't going to really do it IMO.
The Lakers are a succesful example of having a location-specific nick but keeping it upon relocation. Not for my team. The whole point of my team lies in its location. It is supposed to be something of a portmanteau of Adelaide and Geelong and the blending of the two AFL teams. The whole brand literally loses its entire point if it is anywhere other than Adelong.
2 set one-off rounds plus one for whenever? The Lakers are a succesful example of having a location-specific nick but keeping it upon relocation.
I think you could, if you had to relocate, pull it off. Still retain the navy/red/yellow/white hoop scheme. It won't be lost on us here, particularly with heritage round.
Also I propose something here for next NAFL seasons E92_ and TheFreightTrain
Rather than having 3 dedicated one-off rounds, give designers the opportunity to design up to 3 one-off guernsey to be used at any time they wish? Or a slight tinkering of that.
Basically, give designers the option to choose what one offs to do and when, but set a limit so it's not excessive.
Apparently tails does failsLiterally flipped a coin. It came up tails, so GG and Longreach got my vote.
