If I recall corectly, when West Coast and Carlton played, Kreuzer could only beat Cox in the Hit outs, Nic Nat was all over him, I think Kreuzer had about 5 touches more the Nic Nat also.

I will watch with great interest in 2011, But I think Kreuzer would struggle yet again against Nic Nat in the ruck, and Nic Nat is only going to improve, and once he improves around the ground look out.

I would sacrifice 5 disposals
and have nic Nats tap work and upside everyday of the week.

The difference between their average touches per game last year was a monstrous 0.5.

I too would (by a Dal dick) take Nic given he has superior athleticism and un-teachable qualities. People went in expecting far too much from him after the Bombers pre-season game last year, and he has been unfairly maligned by certain ignorant media people who had previously been telling Eagles fans to be patient as he's a raw ruckman.

Just by playing and gaining confidence and fitness will see him gather those uncontested/in space touches some people are craving to see before they rate his football ability.

Both future stars for sure imo.

Round 14 Carlton vs West Coast at Etihad:

Naitanui: 8 disposals, 9 tackles, 1 goal, 17 hitouts, mark of the year.
Kreuzer: 11 disposals, 1 tackle, 0 goals, 6 hitouts, no influence on game at all.

I know who I would take :thumbsu:

NinNat has not an ounce of footballers brain in his body. Will always be the exhibitionist with high leaps but put the ball in his hands and he has no idea.

Kreuzer can play in any position and is composed and a smart footballer. He is coming off an ACL and is already making presence felt. Kreuzer by a long way!!!

As of right now it's Kruz by the lengh, aren't even comparable IMO, Nic Nat has potential but at this stage that's all he has, when he starts getting 20+ touches as well as hitouts and kicking goals i may reconsider, but that's still a fair way off, people forget that Kruz is only going to get better too, he could be a once in a generation player with luck.

I have been observing the polls with eagles players recently and you seem against every single one of them (Hurn, Naitanui, Kennedy) Dude just shut up with your hating bullshit.

WTF, I'm bias gainst the Eagles? hahahhahahhh, yeah, i pick carlton players ahead of yours because i'm blinded by bias. :thumbsu:

HarryO is the reigning AA HB, heavon forbid if i chose him over hurn.

Cloke>>>Kennedy, that's fairly obvious i wouldv'e thought.

Nic (mr 5 disposals a game) nat over Kruse? lol

Didn't you guys win the spoon last year? but now your players stack up against the premiers and other consistant finalists of the last few years. lol, FTR, you didn't beat carlton yesterday, you beat the bullants. :thumbsu:

See the game on the weekend mate? Kreuzer had no impact at all on the game whereas Naitanui had an impact in putting defensive pressure on and hitouts to advantage which set up scoring opportunities.

OMG. It was MK's second game in a year after a reco. As long as he gets though unscathed and back to full fitness he will be doing ok.

Agree, however I'm not sure how anyone could have watched the game and not been impressed by Naitanui. He really is a great player to watch and while he's not overly effective with ball in hand, all things considered he's about as exciting a talent as there is the game.

Contributed far more than his modest disposal tally suggests.

He's a ruckman, they don't get a lot of possessions unless your name is Dean Cox.

As a random example, Darren Jolly last year averaged less possessions and effective hitouts as the number one ruckman than Naitanui is this year as a backup ruckman.

OMG. The distributer said that Kreuzer is way better than Naitanui and I stated that Naitanui played better than Kreuzer on the weekend. I didn't say that means Naitanui is better. How after Naitanui beat Kreuzer can someone say that Kreuzer is undoubtedly better? Kreuzer was best on ground or close to last week and some Carlton supporters were claiming that Kreuzer was going to destroy Naitanui on Sunday which clearly did not happen. And if you want to try and counteract what I posted you should get your facts straight, it was his third game back.

I would take Naitanui every time, There is no shame for Kreuzer by not being as good as a Naitanui, Naitanui will just jump all over evey ruckman, and has so much strength and speed when the ball hits the deck, it is hard for ruckman to have a influence in the clearances.
Naitanui is just going to be freakish. 1 of a kind.

anybody seen the movie, White man can't jump?

And this is the same mentality of your recruiting department, ie. not understanding footy or being able to recruit the best talent. With such gems as Winderlich, Dempsey, Hocking, Myers, Dyson, Stanton, etc. you really have been recruiting well!!!!

If you can't see that Kreuzer is a "special" and "total" footballer way over and above Natanui then ?????????????????

Somebody upset that Naitanui destroyed Kreuzer the other day

Nic has more 20+ disposal games then Kreuzer

In terms of the other stats, there is practically no difference with Kreuzer's at the same age...

Naitanui averages more disposals per game this year than the following ruckmen did last year:

Dean Brogan
Darren Jolly
Shane Mumford
Mark Jamar
Matthew Kruezer
Leigh Brown
Patrick Ryder
Todd Goldstein
Brad Ottens
Michael Gardiner
Will Minson
Angus Graham
Ben McEvoy
Mark Blake
Jonathon Griffin
Sam Jacobs
Troy Simmonds
etc.

Seems like a lot of players don't have a 'football brain' and have to work out how to find the footy. But Naitanui is athletic and exciting, the most 'exotic' footballer around, so it's understandable that he doesn't really know how to play the game...
