both being leggy colts, huge amount of upside for both, pick 1 vs pick 2, who would you want?

Watts.

When I look at Majak Daw I have to conclude that North either got a complete bargain of that Natanui is over the odds for a pick 2. My guess is that the correct answer is a touch of both viewpoints. I don't see 100 places in the draft difference between the two.

Watts is a KP player whereas with Naitanui, we could look at playing him in a different sort of role. If we could get his disposal up to scratch he could play a greater centre role but he is getting better in the forward line when he brings the ball to the ground which isn't a bad thing. He does need to improve in big marking packs where he tends to hide at the back of the contest and should instead push forwards but improvement is coming.

In regards to Watts, I haven't seen too much but I do recall some very small flashes of brilliances from watching him bag a few last year but like Naitanui he isn't there yet.

But FFS can we start threads about some other top 10 players of the draft?

I would hate to feel the pressure which is weighted on Watts shoulders right now, every where I go he seems to cop it.

I picked Naitanui because I see something very special, I think people under estimate how dominant he will become in the ruck contest and once the ball hits the ground.

Again leave Watts alone.
Melbourne may have got Watts wrong at no1 pick, but they got Jurrah, Scully and Trengove right, even if Martin ends up as good if not better.

Majak Daw has done nothing at AFL level, Naitanui has had two very promising seasons already.

Why does everyone hate on Naitanui?

He's shown a hell of a lot for a young ruckman, his 2nd efforts are already the best out of any ruckman in the league and his work ethic combined with his athleticism at the very worst will make him a very good player in years to come.

As for Watts, I'm confident as long as he continues to work hard he has too much ability not to be a star player at this level.
