ill always remember that game, because earlier in the day i played golf.

with a gale force tail wind i cleared the water on the 4th at glen iris and landed in a greenside bunker, a casual 270m from the tee

longest drive i ever hit, and by about 40m too

That's a damn good hole to play. Normally I lay up off the tee with a 4 iron down and to about 5-10 left of the water and just go over the water with my second, but with a tailwind I could definitely see my eyes light up and go for gold!

Honestly, i'm so glad we went with Naitanui over Rich in that draft. Rich is a quality mid, but Nic Nat is just something else entirely. He could be anything.

I dont think there's currently another player like him in the AFL.

Was there on the Mainy wing in his 2nd game.

Ridiculous weather. Was out in the open but hardly got a drop of rain on me.

The wind was blowing that hard that the rain was coming in horizontal to the ground and blowing over the stadium.

Awesome night. Roof was lifting off the ground everytime he touched it

You can tell James Brayshaw loves giving it to Garry lyon on the Nait's every chance he gets. Last night James said something along the lines of. "We don't usually celebrate 50 game milestones on this show but big Naita!!" then quickly turned to Gaz wth a cheeky smirk on his face for a reaction. Brilliant stuff.

Same, I don't normally go to games as I'm not a member, but I was lucky enough to go to the Hawthorn game. I almost ruptured a testy I was cheering so hard. Was a beautiful site seeing Naitanui do his thing. :thumbsu:

I remember that night pretty well.

Was with my best mate, his missus and their kids.

When Naita kicked those goals, by the 3rd this young son was deadset afraid of me, I was that loud :D

Congrats to Naitanui on 50 buddy, bloody awesome effort :thumbsu:

I remember that game. I won a night in a hotel in Perth, left my husband in the hotel and came to the footy. Everyone around me was saying I was mad and should have stayed in hotel and watched the game on TV. After NicNats 3 goals and the crowd going wild I was screaming "this is why I come to the footy" I'll never forget it!

Congrats Nic Nat

A girl in a football forum:eek:

Nerds hide.

I was in Melbourne at the time and had requested regular updates from my sister as she's a pretty passionate fan and I knew she'd be watching from the comfort of the warm lounge-room...but not following the draft and WAFL, didn't really know who Naita was.

Some of the texts I got were pretty amusing. I wish I hadn't deleted them, but the best one went something like...

"Omg! This huge black guy with dreds just ran the whole length of the field and kicked the best gooooooal. Who the f**k? Haha...Eagles! <3"

Well done on 50 good games big boy. :thumbsu:

Congrats, Nic.

Has played through injuries this season and last. Really deserves this recognition for toughing it out when we were crap.

He's our Finals x-factor and the face of the franchise now and he just turned 21.yo

Really good guy, even better footballer :thumbsu:

Wait, what? How does this....happen? :p

Easy. I said "I'm going to the footy, see you in a few hours" and I ran like the wind :p

I'm the big footy fan in our house, in fact most of my friends are the same, they leave their husbands at home to look after the kids so they can go to the game :thumbsu: The only difference is they are Dockers supporters :(

Partner Swap? I'm sure my wife would be happy with a man who isn't interested in football.

usually he'd shank that kick because he'd be running too fast...was great to see him nail it.

not his best game re:disposals, but he had a strong impact in the ruck.

what a ****ing player.

He didn't rake in the touches, but Kerr's goal and then his goal were solely thanks to the combined work of those two, such an impressive team. How many weeks has Naita had more hitouts than the 2 opposition ruckman combined? I count the most recent derby and today at least, haven't really been following that stat though. Top 10 ruckman and great forward pressure, what a star.
