1) Buckley's Chance
-Nathan Buckley hangs by a thread, but the pies remain a mathematical chance to make the finals.

2) Rising Suns
-GCS surprise the AFL world by making a run that puts them in finals contention.

3) Ghosts of Demons' Past
Demons miss finals spot due to late season capitulation.
I believe this is all going to happen. 1 has happened, 2 has practically happened as they in contention need to win some more, 3 I feel happens due to injuries, etc

Wowza - Melbourne city would explode......

If the above happens, don't bother about any other headlines in 2017

Still not good enough though, showdown proved that.

Was interesting to note that Port's draw at the start of the year had the four 2016 preliminary finalists all away from home.

Beat the Dogs
Beat the Swans
Led the Cats until the last minute
Led the Giants at 3QT

Who?

WCE and Sydney were not in the eight when you played them.

WCE are not in the eight now.

Swans you beat first game. They went 0-6. Carlton beat them too.

So when the Crows demolished GWS Round 1 it doesn't count right?

Form after a game doesnt mean squat. Freo were in the 8 winning 6 of 7 after Port thrashed them? Does that count?

WC were 7th at the start of the round. Taking mid round positions to prove a point? A bit like saying Port were top 4 in Round 22.

Anyway, most Port fans will acknowledge that we arent good enough to get over the line in most top games. But that's not to say that its a fact.

Defend it if you want. It does not change the fact you are riding the wave of the softest draw ever.

Factually you have not beaten a side in the eight when you played them.

You would be better off accepting you haven't beaten a top eight side and acknowledging you have fallen into the eight on the back of being flat track bullies to realise how "good" you really are.

The scary thing for you guys are the whispers that Ken is getting a two year contract extension on the back of his best ladder position. Could be announced just before Finals.

I don't know anyone who disagrees that we've had an easier draw than most, but whilst winning and losing are the only measures that truly matter, the manner in which you play and compete are important indicators as well.

You would be better off leaving you trolling to Bay 13 and leaving this for more constructive discussion.

I did feel my comments were borderline trolling.

In all honesty I feel you guys are in a rebuild. Not a Premiership window.

Got some good raw talent playing and no coincidence that you guys have played your best footy without Pittard and Trengove.

Considering a straight swap. Pittard and Trengove for Dusty*. Imagine Wines SPP and Dusty in the same midfield!

* Now THAT belongs in the Bay.
