As the thread title suggests, pick the 7 defenders (6 on field + 1 interchange rotation) who would be in your 1st 22 side.

My defence:
B: Brown, Talia, Lever
HB: Seedsman, Hartigan, Laird
I: Jaensch

Tough call for the interchange position. It was between Jaensch, Cheney and Henderson for me (I picked Jaensch).

Other than that I would pick:

B: Brown, Talia, Lever
HB: Seedsman, Hartigan, Laird

When Jaensch is not fit I would probably just rotate Smith through the backlines

Didnt pick Jaensch based on the fact that he will be injured first half of season

FB: Brown Talia Lever
HB: Laird Hartigan Smith

I: Jaensch

Depending on Jaenschs recovery, if he still starts in the sanfl, then whoever plays better in nab between Wigg and Kelly.
Lever is too valuable to be locked down only at this stage, Hartigan was good towards the end of the season and should only
get better with experience that he will only get at AFL level. The rest pretty much pick themselves and we are really starting to
form a solid, cohesive back line. Smith to move into the mids through the season when Jaensch is fully fit.

Similar to most,

Brown Hartigan Lever
Smith Talia Lairdy

I: Jaensch

Jaensch and Henderson being injured at this stage poses a few questions. If Hampton gets up and running in the 2nd half of the pre-season and shows some form, he could very easily slot onto a wing or HFF and we shuffle Knight and Seedsman respectively down the ground.

Grigg could go back there, but I much prefer him in an inside midfielder role playing through the guts.

Please, please, please god can we stop playing NVB and Mackay in the backline, or just in general. Thanks:D

FB Lever Hartigan Brown
HB Smith Talia Laird
I Cheney or VB

Sorry to those I may alienate, but can the Crows afford to run with 3 short defender in the same side,
Laird 178
Brown 181
Jaensch 180
Match Day 22 would we be better running 2 of them with a taller 185 plus on the bench With limited interchanges they need the versatile players that can run in the middle and of the HB on the bench as back up.

HF: Lynch (93%), Walker (100%), Cameron (96%)
F: Menzel (93%), Jenkins (100%), Betts (100%)
R: Jacobs (96%), M Crouch (93%), Thompson (96%)
