Thread needs more Bobby Skilton
Skilton is just about the first picked.Thread needs more Bobby Skilton
Oops! Cheers for that - honestly loved him as a player and thought he hadn't won one, but obviously wrong. Probably blocked out 95 hahaKouta was just about B.O.G in the 1995 flag.
Why do people think Kouta and B Harvey weren't premiership-winning players? Strange
Boomer was in the 99 flag (I originally thought otherwise too, haha)Dangerfield
Boomer Harvey
really how old is heBoomer was in the 99 flag (I originally thought otherwise too, haha)
This one looks on the money, perhaps Len Thompson, Graham Moss, Gary Hocking, Paul Couch? Tony Modra is the hard luck story, he made Adelaide in the 1990s and is flag-less?Ablett Snr. Lockett. Buckley. Skilton. McKenna. Quinlan. Dangerfield. Harvey. Flower & Wilson.
He's 43 now, retired at 38. Career 1996-2016, only played one game in 1996 and it wasn't the GF.really how old is he
oh so he counts brilliantHe's 43 now, retired at 38. Career 1996-2016, only played one game in 1996 and it wasn't the GF.
How could I leave out Robbie Flower, what a player!
Superboot and Billy also, one of the great players in those 3 (4) GF appearances. Paul Roos and Barry Round (Charlie winner) too.
Not so certain on the hulk, Micky Turner (super fast!) or Hawkins though.
Sorry that was misleading. He played in the 99 GF.oh so he counts brilliant
I definitely considered Couchy & Buddha, but I didn’t want to be too Geelong centric. Len Thompson & Graham Moss were certainly in the reckoning, even Matty Richardson was too...And yep Modra went flag-less, did his knee in 97’ & was overlooked in 98’.This one looks on the money, perhaps Len Thompson, Graham Moss, Gary Hocking, Paul Couch? Bit of a fun thread, current and past:
Just of the top of my head, as a young 51 yo.
1. Obviously Gas (for me)
2. Rooey (Nick Reiwoldt)
3. Nathan Buckley
4. Lenny Hayes
5. Nat Fyfe
6. Peter Moore
7. Ricky Barham
8. Gary Wilson
9. Carl Ditterich
10. Peter McKenna
I literally just put this out at in a moment. Not even sure the order is right.
Post yours.

That's a cracking list, although I'd have Flower ahead of a few of those.
- Gary Ablett senior.
- Bob Skilton.
- Haydn Bunton.
- Tony Lockett.
- Garry Wilson.
- Kevin Murray.
- Matthew Richardson.
- Bernie Quinlan.
- Peter McKenna.
- Robert Flower.

I'd also sneak Nathan Buckley into the ten.
