Not at all, I've just done a google and found out the bloke from 1200 Techniques is/was Nfamas, which isn't really that close I spose. All apologies, carry on! :thumbsu:

Hardly. Probably copped the most flack out of any hip hop artist for trying to go more commerical. Where as Biggie and Pac do it, and simply get more praise. His other albums are quite good if you even have a listen through.

His only real flaw was Nastradamus. The other albums are all very solid.

Nas has copped to much hate throughout his career, though in my eyes, he is the best to ever pic up the mic along with Rakim.

I'm liking the new album. Be a Ni gger too is probably my favourite song atm, along with America, Can't stop us now.

Though am I the only one who prefers Nas with weaker beats? I seriously liked having his voice as the thing that stands out in his songs. Now with these better beats, it seems weird. I guess I'll have to get used to it.

I sort of agree with you, not necessarily better beats but less pronoucned, as one of his greatest strengths is when he lets loose with anger and raw emotion, One Mic style, or basically just rhymes like crazy like all of Illmatic.

He is defaintely more than a 2 album wonder, as Id say Illmatic, It Was Written, Hip Hop Is Dead and Untitled are all very good-great albums, and the only poor album he has is Nastradamus.

My favourite tracks besides the ones you mentioned are Hero and Black President.

Also, Sly Fox is IMO one of the songs of the year. Great song, the beat is very 99 Problems-esque.
And on that note, you'd have to say this album tips Nas ahead of Jay-Z on an album vs album comparison.

So which two of Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint or American Gangster is garbage?

And you think Nas' Untitled album is rubbish, and that Nas only has 2 decent albums?

Actually I dont think I'll even bother...

If you think untitled is any good then i pray for you.
I'll be right without your prayers mate. On another note though, you called Nas a two album wonder, which of Illmatic, It was Written and Stillmatic was garbage?

And which of Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint was bad?

Im assuming you also say Reasonable Doubt is good, so combined with Blueprint that makes Jay-Z have at least two good-very good albums?

Although I think Stillmatic is wildly overrated, it is still a very good album IMO.

What hip hop artists do you like?

Untitled a bad album? Whatever mate.

Same can be said about a lot of the artist you mentioned as well. Nas has been one of the most consistent rappers out there in terms of producing good albums.

Let me guess, your one of those people who say all the rap artists from the 90's who got playtime on the radio are overrated, while you prefer to listen to lesser known artists to seem more knowledgable, etc?

About what exactly?

If you are talking about hip-hop, then you don't know much if you think Nas is a two album wonder.
