I actually watched the race (and recorded it just in case), the feed went out a couple of times before the race started, thats why the part rec would have shown up.
The beauty of watching it live is that when you hit the red button and you follow a certain driver, when they go to commercial, they keep showing your driver and the leader, so I saw it happen when the Mark Martin incident happened. Everyone was very lucky, but it was spectacular.
Another very consistent run by Marcos and good solid work from the RPM team. I get a bit frustrated that he didnt get a bonus point for leading when if he had stayed out for 1 more lap on 2 occassions he would have got it (when they were pitting under green). Has happened a few times this year and we all know that in the end this may come down to a few points.
Really needs a win this week in Bristol, runs well at Atlanta, so the possiblity is still well and truely there.

Yes, most importantly Ambrose is 28 points behind Kyle Busch for the last wild card spot. Needs a DNF from Busch over the next 3 races probably. Harvick is sitting in 9th with no wins so is the likes of Kahne can finish up front the last few weeks and Stewart can go from 10th to 9th, Harvick will slip out of the top 10, and won't be in wild card position, then Ambrose will only be 12 points out of wild card position.

Tough ask but he is still alive. Marcos is on a roll at the moment.

Yeah forgot about that. People like Stewart's passion but he's such a massive sook. Kenseth came up track a bit, not too severe and nothing deliberate, and Stewart tried to push him back down. Sure, if Kenseth kept coming Stewart may have run out of room but that hadn't happened yet.

Anybody touches Stewart and he has dummy spits like this. If he takes out somebody else, he claims they deserved it for blocking or something else. He's in the Kurt Busch category for mine.

No penalties for Stewart after his meltdown.
Of course not. Good old Tony can do or say anything he wants. He was as much at fault for the crash, he came down twice into Kenseth before they both turned.
If his surname was Busch it would have been different though.
Bring on Atlanta, Marcos has run well there over the years and you never know, he WILL win an oval one day, Sunday may as well be it.

Atlanta
Stewart on pole
Marcos will start 10th
So God help anyone who thinks about passing Saint Tony. No need to run the race just give it to Smoke because he is the best and no other car has a chance to take the lead over 333 laps. God help them if they do, wouldn't want to incur the wrath of Tony.
Go get him Marcos, knock these boys off and stir them all up by making the chase.

Ford have pulled their support for RPM, Ambroses team, for 2013.

The team allocated 2013 Ford factory backing in place of RPM is Team Penske who run Will Power & Ryan Briscoe in Indycar.

Where to for Marcos?

They haven't pulled their support, they're cutting it back due to Penskes move to Ford.
It looks as though RPM will still have 2 cars next year and Ambrose is safe.Almirola, only on a 1 year deal, isn't.Kurt Busch might get the 2nd car.

So many different ways the chase could have gone coming into today's race, but Ambrose was out of the running fairly quickly, battling like most of field to just stay a lap down. Ended up 15th and running quite strong towards the end. Most of the cream rose to the top with the chase leaders being up there again. Bowyer won and after being a fair bit down early, Jeff Gordon powered home to finish second and push Kyle Busch out of the chase. Can't say I am upset about that, although he was unlucky as there were so many rain interruptions and they opted to stay out when others were pitting, thinking the race would be called early and find them down the order because they pitted and others didn't.

Can't believe how easy it was for some to make up a lap due to better tyres.

Shame about the rain.

It started about an hour late and all so the rain cautions which stoped the race.
