Newman actually WINS a race for once instead of just scoring pole.
JJ 2nd
KK 3rd
Dickhead 4th

Marcos 16th ( ran top 20 all race )

You realise that could be either brother............and I check the results and it was actually Tony Stewart [their brother from another mother]

No DNF's either, every car was classified as running at the end of the race.

JJ still first in points followed by Bowyer, Edwards, Harvick and Earnhardt Jr. Marcos remains 22nd.

Stewart and Truex Jr have the wildcards at this point.

Watching the B400 replay atm. It's my first serious look at the current model car. I like them. The look a lot more serious than what we've had since 06, before they changed to CoT rules. Happy to see Newman win. I don't mind him for some reason. Moral 03 champ. I don't get why nascar have such a poo points allocation, they've always had it. Nice to watch a race at Indy.

An awesome win to Kasey Kahne today at Pocono :D , making up for the disappointment of Pocono earlier in the season. The GWC at the finish was intense. Kahne just hauled it into turn 1 and 2.

Also congratulations to NASCAR Nationwide Drivers Kyle Larson, Kevin Swindell and Brad Sweet for finishing 3rd, 2nd and 6th respectively in the Knoxville 360 Sprintcar Nationals. Not bad considering there was a 103 car field for the event. Here is the qualifying feature for Larson night 1, as filmed by his Mum, who you can hear cheering in the background.

Certainly lives up to the saying "Dirt is for racing, asphalt is for getting there" ;)

Swindell is severly underrated, someone had better get him a full-time Nationwide race next year.

On dirt i reckon he has Larson covered.
He races pretty much one midget meeting a year and has now won the chilli bowl four times in a row.
The 360 Knoxville Nationals was his first sprintcar meeting since January when he was in Aus, in his second meeting he beat a 60+ strong field in Knoxville last night.

This year he has ran 6 NNS races in a pretty underfunded team and ran 18, 18, 28, 11, 26, 8 which hasnt done him justice as he has ran in the top 10-15 in every one of those for long periods and hasn't wrecked any gear yet.

NASCAR Sprint Cup star Tony Stewart has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg after a high speed Sprintcar crash in Iowa.

He had a big crash last week where his car rolled about 5 times.Might be time to retire from the Sprint Cars old fella, especially after another death this week.

The death in PA was of a veteran who may have been racing in a special event, not 100% sure. PA had a somewhat unique event on the weekend which had drivers not currently full time anymore racing PA regulars, I think. Again, from what I read of the crash, he was unlucky, as many drivers have hard flipping crashes every week and walk away unscathed. I saw at least 15 hard flipping wrecks in our speedway season between attended events and the WSS on Speed. Worst injury out of them was bruising.

On Swindell, Sammy has his cars (Spike Chassis) built custom for the Chili Bowl, and sets the car up for Kevin. If he and Larson were in equal cars, Larson would win. Other than Macreadie in the 47, I'm fairly sure everyone else was running normal cars at the Chili bowl. Watch for Christopher bell in the future for NASCAR. Kyle Larson mk 2.

On Tony, it's his 4th wreck in about 20 days. Every racer has a bad spell like that, particularly when you are dealing with less talented drivers in the 360 competition.

The Capitani classic had 81 cars check in, which Swindell won. With that many, qualifying pill draw comes into it. Without early pill, you are stufffed unless you are Shane Stewart, who passes people at will this time of the year. Also Kevin had the best of everything in that ride. Still got to be good enough to drive the car I guess. I do agree he deserves a good NASCAR ride, but I don't think he is as good as Larson on dirt.

Thats subject to opinion really, if Swindell had the laps under his belt that Kyle does i think he would be back in the ball game with even cars etc.

Look at the front row challenge last night in Oskaloosa, Swindell ran up to 3rd i think after going back to 24th. Granted i think Kyle ran 2nd from about 18th

Or Donny Schatz who seems to be unbeatable at Knoxville when the big $$$ are up for grabs.
To fall back on the Swindell has the best of everything excuse doesn't really fly especially when your talking about Kyles sprintcar ride. He and Rico Abreu both do a hell of a lot of racing in that team, they are extremely well funded and have as good a gear as you could possible hope for.

On a side note how good is it to see the Brazier boys locked in for WSS, hanging out for Boxing day in Adelaide.

Just the bare 43 turning up this weekend, usual ringers in some rides (Said in the 32, Fellows the 33, Mad Max fills in for Smoke, Dinger again in for Labonte), McDowell drives the 35 this week with the 98 team not running.

Somebody give me odds on an Aussie 1-2?
