Sounds like he could replace Briscoe in the 3rd Penske car, at least for Indy and selected others.....


As for the 500, qualifying is tomorrow to determine the FRONT ROW ONLY, and there are 45 cars looking for 43 spots. The Qualifying order is (random draws this year for Cup).....

Stewart (2nd in line for the Champions Provisional should he need it), Bliss (Slowest of the 42 that practised last week), Kyle Busch, Truex, T.Labonte (Last in line for the Provisonal but most likely to need it), Mears, McDowell, Danica (3rd quick in practice), Almirola, Kvapil, Pops, Yeley, Blaney, Newman, MARCOS, Menard (4th quick), B.Labonte (7th provisional line), McMurray, Stenhouse, Reutimann, Biffle, Bowyer, Dillon (2nd quickest in 1st practice, didn't practice 2nd session), Hamlin, Waltrip, Junior, Smith, Nemechek, Gordon (6th in line), Kenseth (5th in line), Brad Keselowski (1st in line, not that he needs it), Gilliland, Johnson (3rd in line), Speed, Logano (fastest in practice), Burton, Kahne, Brian Keselowski (slowest car in practice 1, didn't practice P2), Ragan, Bayne, Harvick, Kurt Busch (didn't practice P2, 4th in line for Provisional), Wise, Edwards, Montoya

QUALIFYING FORMAT

The pole sitter and 2nd quickest are locked in and will head the field for the Bud Duels.
Top 15 from each duel (apart from front row) will fill positions 3-32 (Duel 1 fills odd positions, Duel 2 fills evens)
Positions 33-36 go to next 4 quickest cars not in field (regardless of duel they are in)
Spots 37-42 locked in based on 2012 owner points
43rd to go to either Champions Provisional (which this year can only be used once, then cannot be used by a driver until he has attempted another 5 races, and can only be used if he raced in a 2012 cup race), or next on the Owner Points standings.

Fair effort though from Danica, hopefully (yeah I know I'm going against the grain here) she can stick it to a few of the critics and show she is worthy of being in the Sprint Cup series.
