please. Does Impey get a fine for staging. He got hit by soft leather filled with air? Crazy. 1-2 weeks, LOL!3 weeks. high, careless, severe.
he is swinging for the ball but just misses it. similar to scrimshaw earlier in the year

smith should also get 1-2 weeks. intentional, high, low-med impact.... but will probably get nothing. if he threw then ball the only a fine. but it was a strike cos he never released the ball.

four weeks seems fair.
Would love to hear all of the five week + advocates reaction to this and why they got it wrong/the AFL was never arguing for that?
Anyone else think its flavour of the month, week , day , hour , moment with suspensions.
Seen worse this season get nothing

Who called it a dog act LP.It was never going to be 6 weeks it wasn’t good okay but let’s calm down with calling it a dog act or whatever. Yes the red card system should be in for these cases but it was an extremely clumsy act from a very fair player

Nash should have just waited until Gryan was leaving the game and beat the piss out of him in the car park, same suspension length4 weeks about right. But 5-6 if they are fair dinkum in governing out this type of head contact.
He wasn't tackling, and too forceful to be a spoil. So only leaves him trying to put physical contact on Miers.
Would he miss night games though?Nash should have just waited until Gryan was leaving the game and beat the piss out of him in the car park, same suspension length
Respectfully, it doesn't appear that you read what I said. A strike with an open palm has never resulted in a week. Even if it is to the face. The worst he would have got would have been a fine - either way, with whatever classification they gave it. The impact is negligible, and it was an open palm not a closed fist. There's no eventuality where it ends up being a week.If you hypothetically do agree with everything I'm saying re: a strike then its a strike and abides by that AFL matrix for striking, so should be a week.
This is exactly where the AFL are murky on these situations and the problem I have with it. Smith grabbing a ball and striking Impey in the head with it is absolutely a striking action, the fact the football is there should be irrelevant. A football being used should not absolve the action from what it was, which was a strike, albeit a very low impact one.

If Voss's suspension is 3, the fact that this is 4 is stupefying, this should have been 6.
From this stance I actually agree- but I don't think the AFL takes concussions seriously either form a punitive or a rehabilitation perspective and until they make some legislative changes this is a an easy four-gamer.4 weeks about right. But 5-6 if they are fair dinkum in governing out this type of head contact.

Nah. A month is about right for mine.Who called it a dog act LP.

I don't think there was any malice in the incident, he just got it badly wrong.
The guilty is right. I guess thd sentence is on the lighter end because it's a first offence.four weeks seems fair.
