You may be right, but my read is that most Saints fans, including myself, were celebrating that the what he did in the last minute of the game, on the back of what he's been doing the last 18 months, is what only the VERY elite players do.

Clearly, he hasn't got the runs on the board of legends of the game, but what he did on Sunday, in the context of his build, is what very few players do outside of the legend bracket.

This is just how the hype machine works for young guns these days. The majority of stars they're being compared to took a little bit longer to pull off these performances, but obviously the mark of a champion is doing it with relentless consistency for a decade or longer.

As for Saints supporters - are we really cruel enough to rain on their parade over having something to get excited by? I'm sure I'll get called patronising but it does seem a bit much to say "no, you shouldn't even enjoy this that much".

Exactly. I'm always happy to pay my respects to a gun like NWM despite not being a big fan of the Saints or their coach.

Definitely in top 5 I think. Still have Daicos ahead. Then he is in the mix. His ceiling may be higher than Daicos. Feel like he has probably got more potential uoside.

I agree he might be in the 5 but there are certain players like baz and n daicos that are better
