Surely this kid has to get a gig this week. Has been consistent and kicked 3 today plus used the ball extremely well on the HF line.

Definitely a chance! Has been good all year, particularly defensively. Applies alot of pressure, tackles well and whatever x-factor is, he has it!

There was a point in the third quarter when the eagles kicked the first three and we were looking pretty shaky ... he ran off the bench and had a massive impact .

Had a hand in 3-4 goals in row and just had a presence ... uses the pill and just continues week after week to put himself into the right places .

Was an inspired draft pick :thumbsu:

All he needs to do is put on some kg's but he held his possie in shepparding goals and tackling, will just mean he can break more tackles. He is making life tough for Nahas because they are the same player but he has a bigger tank and has polish where as Nahas doesn't.

Reminds me a lot of Johnny Platten, and I don't mean just his hair.

Has got speed, skill and poise. Is a beautiful kick. Has been impressive from the start.

A great pick up.

I havent seen this particular game but what i like about Nason compared to say Nahas is he is more a genuine footballer with the talent to understand the game plan , work into space and finish neatly...I dont doubt Nahas works hard, however his efforts when he pushes up the ground are generally meaningless and he misses far too many chances, by the way watch Hicks press for this spot in 12 mths time

Yep I mentioned the Platten comparison in another thread..... very similar in the way they play, and a bit of Chance Bateman as well.

To think he has had only 1 pre-season....

he'll add some beef to the frame to, edwards and tambling have , they were siomilar size when first lobbed at punt rd
I dont think a player like Nason needs size.... he uses his positioning and smarts to get the ball. Naturally he will get stronger... but adding weight wont have a huge impact on the way he plays.

I think he would be the best pick of the entire draft when you take into account the pick that was used on him.

This is completely wrong. Adding size to his frame will determine whether Nason can make it as an AFL footballer. Gets pushed off the football with ease. Still has a lot of question marks on him and a long way to go if he is going to make it. However he certainly has the tools to be one and his form has far outstripped expectations.

You are wrong.
Nason is Jake King with footskills. If yiu can't see that he is a keeper now, you can't see much. But I have always thought you were a troll so go figure.

upgrade on king ! got a good tank but will need to get better & stronger to shrug off tackles & tackle.

very good pick at where he was taken but also has alot of competition for his spot aswell, will need to be able to play in the midfield aswell to guarantee a permanent spot in 2 years.

deserves a nomination on consistancy alone.

BEING a Central Districts supporter in the SANFL been hoping for years we'd get an ex-Bulldog player at Tigerland and seems we have ourselves a good one, albeit unlikely. Was really surprising to see him drafted after playing only one senior SANFL game, but kudos to someone down at the club for seeing something in him.
Also goes some ways to erasing the memory of the last Centrals player top grace Punt Road .... an embarrassment!!!

Runs all day, isn't limited to a the foward pocket like Nahas is.

Great pickup late in the draft.

But he does need a bit more size about him. He knows how to use his size (his guarding of the goals square for Martins goal, and his take in the square) but a few times over the year he has been pumped off the ball a couple of times.

Also needs to work on his overhead marking.

Two bags of three in his career so far. Looking really good as a pacey HF
